All music composed by Paul Chain except "Lake Without Water", composed by Paul Chain and Paul Dark.

"Alkahest" is a term coined by alchemist Paracelsus in the 16th century, which denotes the universal solvent capable of dissolving any substance, even gold, and was also believed to have incredible medicinal properties. The term is believed to derive from similar Arabic words.

"Voyage to Hell" is a re-recorded version of the same song from the Detaching from Satan EP.

With the exception of song titles, which may occasionally be heard through the album, Paul Chain's vocals are not in English. They are made of phonemata forged by Paul himself, which may or may not resemble the English language.

Lee Dorrian spent two weeks in Italy to work on this album.

Dedicated to the memory of Aldo Polverari (1960-1995)
