"Semper Fidelis" is Latin for "Always Faithful".

Occulta Mors and L'hiver both performed session drums.

Meant to be Wagner's farewell to his previous artistic entity "Kanwulf" and to the BM scene in general henceforth embracing his new persona "Ash" taking Nargaroth into a more personal and artistic focus and approach for all subsequent records.

The lyrics to "Vereinsamt" are a poem of the same name by Friedrich Nietzsche.
"Der Leiermann" originally is a piece by Franz Schubert (1797-1828) (lyrics by Wilhelm Müller (1794–1827)) from the song cycle "Winterreise".

Recording information:

Recorded in Frankonia from 04.06.2001 to 22.07.2001. Vocals in October 2006.
