From the booklet:

"Basically we both do not consider these recordings worth to be re-released, but sadly nowadays the desires of bands aren't worth a single fart in the streets.
Since there already had been threats to bootleg that stuff, we have been forced to give those, who still care for the sins of our youth, at least the best possible sound quality. Note that we haven't had any studio experiences during that time. The "The winter falls over the land" demo was basically fully mixed by the studio owner, just how he thought it would sound great while we completely didn't care that much so to say. Therefore it sounds as it sounds, polished, plastic, unlistenable. Furthermore I'm often asked about re-releasing the rehearsals too, but that won't happen, not in 666 years. I don't even understand why they still do appear as part of our discography. They've never been, except of the official early Reh/Demos. The rest has never been sold or spread. Those recordings were done with guitars coming from a tape, halling thru a factory room and drums and vocals played/sung live. Therefore I simply can't get it why people want us to re-release low quality band rehearsals with songs played for the first time ever. Seriously all guys playing in a band do know what I mean. Would you like to see your musical ideas to get reduced to the first version of the song, played for the very first time? I guess not, so why should we do so?
And to those who still are willing to pay money for that crap, the original recordings already has been of terrible quality, so you can expect what you'll pay money for if you're buying bootlegged tapes or CD's. The possibility that the bootlegger had an original first generation recording is lower than low as I haven't recorded more than 15-20 tapes to certain tapetraders or friends. – Gaam 2015"
