"United Abominations" is the first Megadeth album not to feature at least one other member besides Dave Mustaine from the first album recording line-up.
The back of the album's booklet contains a forward/dissertation from Jack Bauer, the lead character of the television series "24".
The album's artwork all came from a contest the band held with the website Deviantart, handpicked from the top 11 finalists.
Music videos were made for the songs "À Tout le Monde (Set Me Free)" and "Never Walk Alone... A Call to Arms"
