The intro and outro tracks are in the dark ambient vein while tracks 3 and 4 are atmospheric (ambient) funeral doom/death. An earlier rehearsal version of "Spawn of the Obscure" was released on DC++ as a test track to know the reaction of doom audiences to the material being composed; however the original version was very different from the one officially released.
