- Kyuss have stated on many occasions that they do not consider Wretch their first album. Disenchanted with the poor sound quality of the recording, they were determined to record a studio album that more accurately reflected the band; as such, they consider Blues for the Red Sun their proper debut. Whether or not Wretch was ever really intended to be an album, it's still considered their first official release.

- US release with Dali logo on back cover placed just above the barcode & on the back inlay Dali logo situated right under the thumb image. Also, the wording on the disc covers one line on the left & one line on the right (compared to two lines on each side on alternate version).
- Tracks 4 & 6 taken from the 1990 Sons of Kyuss self-titled EP, recorded by what would become the Wretch lineup sans bassist Nick Olivieri. Instead, Chris Cockrell performed bass on these tracks.

Recording information:

- Recorded & mixed at Headway Studios & Master Control, Burbank, California.
- Mastered at K-Disc Mastering, Hollywood, California.
- Co-produced by Kyuss.
