"Die verlorene Rotte" and "Überall und über allem" are re-recordings of the original tracks presented on "Distanz".
"Drei Spaten am Grab" is based on the German World War I traditional "Bald, allzubalde" by Ernst Brockmann written in 1916.
"Die Würfel rollen wieder" and "Die verlorene Rotte" are loosely based on "Die Bauern wollen freie sein", a German folk song from the 16th century.
"und keiner wüsst' von Flandern" is based on the war poem "In Flanders field" by the Canadian Lieutenant John McCrae written in 1915.
The cover and booklet artwork contains extracts from a series of field postcard images called "Abendfrieden in Feindesland".
