The album artwork is adapted from a painting by Per Haagensen called "Satan." Wal-Mart offers an exclusive alternate cover that prominently features the traditional Black Sabbath devil logo. When finalizing the cover, the band narrowed it down to their two favorites but had a difficult time making a final decision. The alternate cover is also available as a Wal-Mart exclusive.
The numbers 25 and 41 that feature either side of the devil logo refer to the Bible verse Matthew 25:41, that deals with the Last Judgement where those who sit at the left side of God were cast down into Hell.
