- It's said Cenotaph Records agreed to reimburse the members of Eulogy money that was spent producing The Essence, but according to the band they never received this reimbursement. Sales were reported worldwide & Osmose began selling the release through mailorder, but it's said Eulogy never saw a single penny of the revenue this album pulled in.
- Track 4 misspelled on the back cover "Consernation of Fools".
