The first releases were a self production by Emperor:

- The original cover is the Chimaira, a monstrous creature from Greek mythology.
- Cover folded out.
- Recorded onto studio tapes.

- First press: hand numbered and autographed but without logo.
- 2nd press (1993): not numbered and without logo.
- 3rd press (1993): not numbered but with the logo added in the inner artwork.
- Later press (from around 1994): simplified J-Card with the original front cover with typeset spine and track listing but no intro or outro listed. "Created by Samoth, Ihsahn & Mortiis spring anno 1992".

Three different versions of the intro exist:
- Original version (00:45) featuring distorted growling only.
- Emperor/Wrath of the Tyrant (compilation) versions (01:09) featuring ambient keys and percussion.
- Wild Rags reissue version (02:20), possibly also on other versions, featuring ambient keys and some weather samples.

This is one of only three Emperor outputs to feature Mortiis on bass (the other being the Emperor MLP and the As the Shadows Rise EP), which features re-recordings of some songs of this Demo.

Recording information:

Recorded on bad equipment (4-track) between May 8-9 and 11, 1992.
