Originally Edge of Sanity wanted to release two separate EP's: ''Purgatory''; the more traditional death metal oriented songs & ''Afterglow''; the experimental/hard rock songs. However Black Mark warned them it would be a huge financial & career risk so the band opted to release all of the material together as a full length.
A music video was made for song "Black Tears".
Comes as a silver CD with black writings and a black CD with gold writings.
