During "Space Truckin'", one of the speakers blows out. The performance was aired over ABC TV, with all the technical difficulties intact. However, one song, "Lay Down, Stay Down" is missing even though it was performed.
Re-released by Connoisseur Collection in 1991 as Live At The California Jam.
The complete concert with "Lay Down, Stay Down" was re-released on DVD under the title Live in California 74 in 2005.
This new edition also contains audio commentary over the concert titles, the history behind the DVD release and picture gallery. Tracklist:

"Highway Star" is a preview of Archive Series, Vol. 1 Live in Concert 72/73, recorded Live 1.03.1972 at K.B. Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The "Super 8mm Film" are three silent super 8mm film tapes recorded by Deep Purple's sound engineer on the 1974 US tour, Robert Simon (aka Captain Californie). The clips show the band relaxing before the gig and Simon's view at the pyrotechnics from the control tower.
