Luna Scarlet Davey (credited for child narration) is Dani Filth's daughter.
The full album title is Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder: The Life and Crimes of Gilles de Rais.
The title derives from a valediction vocalist Dani Filth once used to sign a letter.
This is a concept album, based on the life of the infamous 15th century French nobleman, Gilles de Rais, who fought alongside Joan of Arc and accumulated great wealth before becoming a serial killer, sexual deviant and Satanist.
