Features new cover artwork, exclusive liner notes from Dani Filth and Cult Black Metal writer and documentarian, Dayal Patterson as well as a bonus track cover of Iron Maiden’s ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’.
This is a concept album based on the legend of the Hungarian "blood countess" Elizabeth Báthory (Báthory Erzsébet in Hungarian).
On the song "Bathory Aria", there is a guest appearance by Ingrid Pitt, who starred in the 1970 film "Countess Dracula" - a film based on E. Bathory, which is who the album is based upon.

Recorded from January to March at DEP International / Abattoir Studios, Birmingham, 1998.
Co-Produced by Cradle of Filth.
Remixed and remastered from the original tapes at Grindstone Studios, Suffolk in 2017/18.
