Trivia:
- Recorded when the band was known as Inearthed, they changed their name to escape their previous record deal (which they deemed a ripoff) and were subsequently picked up by Spinefarm Records.
- "Talking of the Trees" off of Shining was re-recorded during these sessions, but later scrapped.
- Track 7 is the only song with actual lyrics that were written prior to recording, the rest of the lyrics to all the other songs were improvised on the spot as Laiho screamed.
- The intros to tracks 1 and 6 were taken from It (1990) and Ben-Hur (1959), respectively.
- Tracks 3 and 4 both sample passages from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's work.
- The end of track 7 features a short keyboard passage played by Alexi and Alexander in unison. This track is officially known as "Coda" (01:19) and samples a melody from the theme to Miami Vice.
- The original pressing contains an eighth track titled "Bruno the Pig", consisting simply of ten seconds of silence. This is often confused with "Coda."
