- The cover is a portion of Journey of Life: Youth (1842) by the American painter Thomas Cole.
- "Epstle 81" (Märk hur vår skugga), was written by Swedish poet/musician Carl Michael Bellman (1740 - 1795).
- "Incarnation of Evil" is actually a reworked version of the old Nemesis track "Black Messiah."
- "Darkness in Paradise" is a prelude to the story narrated on the next album Tales of Creation.
- A video was made for "Mirror Mirror".
