Never Say Die! is the final album to feature the original Black Sabbath line up.

The accepted cover art for this album was not the original concept. The group of people from Hypgnosis had made 2 covers, and the first option they chose was the one on the right. While the cover they didn't pick, it happened to be used later for Rainbow's "Difficult to Cure" album. Later, Geezer Butler confirmed that the Rainbow cover was indeed the original concept for "Never Say Die!".
"Swinging the Chain" features Bill Ward on vocals because Ozzy Osbourne refused to sing it.
