The album was finished and intended to be released without “Beast of Man”. Then Michael Amott said he had a new song, which was recorded with new drummer Daniel and sent over, and the label agreed to delay the album release and it was decided the song was so good it should lead off the record.

Recorded and mixed in October, 1997 at Studio Fredman.
"Beast of Man" recorded in January, 1998 at Studio Fredman.
Mastered at The Mastering Room by Göran Finnberg.
