old school, traditional metal and stoner/doom are my favorite metal genres, although i dig death, black, grind, etc.
i listen to a lot of other stuff besides metal, so i enjoy material that blurs the genre lines. i can still appreciate the more traditional releases all the same.
some of the reviews on here are downright hilarious. mine are hardly works of greatness, but people really take to complaining, or speaking self-referentially and illogically, or pounding out a banal jeremiad targeted at whatever's "untrue." stop acting like thickskulled troglodyte douchebags. you're only feeding stereotypes.
still, m-a is the best resource of its kind.
