I'm 19, I have been into this genre for about 10 years, starting with Metallica, then Maiden. Got into Rush along the way and started loving Progressive, loved it even more when I found Dream Theater and Queensryche. Also doesn't hurt to listen to some good old Scorpions and Deep Purple, and all the offshoots by the others.
