Reviewer for metalcdratings.com (billed as Creag for various reasons), occasional collaborater with now-defunct rockontheweb.co.uk and Archives enthusiast. I'm a fan of extreme and progressive metal as well but don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to do (m)any reviews on the subjects.

Personally I think a percentage system is a bit too precise a marking scheme (I don't know how I'd decide the difference between a 71% album and 73% one). For my own reviews, I'll mainly be giving scores only on the 10s as equivalent to marks out of 10. Some albums will get an additional 5 (eg. 65% or 6.5/10) if it's too close to call.

Metal CD Ratings reviews are marked out of 5. The reviews I port over to here will be adjusted accordingly (3.5/5 = 7/10 = 70%) with some slight adjustments for the extra leeway the Archives' rating system allows.

Rock on the Web reviews are marked out of 10. The reviews I port over to here will be adjusted accordingly (6/10 = 60%).
