First and foremost, I'm a Thrash Metal man. My heart will always be taken by the "Big 4" and their less distinguished cousins such as Exodus, Annihilator, Agent Steel and Kreator. I also happen to be in total fucking love with this Thrash revival that Earache seem to be single-handedly propagating, as not only does it give me a chance to see various Thrash bands such as Onslaught who have reunited, but it means that in 10 years time, I can say that I saw Gama Bomb and Warbringer "back in the day" and regale tales of how I saw Evile with their Original line-up before Matt Drake got in a huge fight with his brother Ol and sacked the rest of the band, replacing them with an
anonymous session musicians and pissing on the band's legacy for the next decade, or about how Municipal Waste were much better back in the 00's, before they took their more "radio friendly" country rock direction, and then can say about how this new Thrash revival is just a fad, and that I was there for the ORIGINAL Thrash revival.

I'm also a big Death Metal fan, but I'm not an aficianado of all this "Technical Death metal" nonsense such as Necrophagist or Kataklysm. Technical Death Metal is a bit like Bailey's. "Best in Moderation". I am very much a traditionalist when it comes to Death Metal, sticking to the Old guard of Carcass, Morbid Angel and Entombed, as well as a bit of Death and Nile. The same goes for Grindcore. I'm more into the Napalm Deaths and ENTs than Waking The Cadaver and Suicide Silence. They are not real Grindcore. I like my Grindcore being more "Grind" than Core. Although, I do like some new Grind bands such as Nasum and anything by Scott Hull.

I love Black Metal, but I definitely prefer the more recent stuff int he sense that I love all the directions each band has taken, be it Ultra-technical stuff like Emperor or Mayhem, or the Ambient Electronica of Burzum and Ulver as well as some folk stuff, like Dornenreich and Negura Bunget. I also like Intro tracks by Black Metal bands, oddly. All these one-man bands worshipping at the altar of Transylvanian Hunger bore me, new Darkthrone owns old Darkthrone anyway.

I'm into pretty much all Doom Metal, I love the trad doom of Reverend Bizarre and Candlemass and the drone of SunnO))) the most though.

Oh, and I am a maniacal fan of Load and ReLoad...

Favourite Bands include:
Metallica, Carcass, Bathory, Burzum, Sepultura, Soulfly, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Ulver, Emperor, Obituary, Agent Steel, Dornenreich, Celtic Frost, Reverend Bizarre, Gama Bomb.
