Your humble scribe welcomes all.
I write for Soundshock UK, an excellent webzine covering all things metal. My reviews will come from there. Or rather, they would if they didn't keep getting declined. Ah well.
If you wish to contact me about my submissions to MA for any reason, send a message to the listed e-mail address. Any praise/criticism/scorn/offers of cheap whiskey you may wish to bestow are welcome.
100: A perfect album.
95+: A genre-definer and instant classic.
90+: Just short of the big time and usually essential.
80+: Highly recommended and great fun.
70+: No masterwork, with noticeable shortcomings, but good additions to a collection nonetheless.
60+: Good, but perhaps try a sampler before committing yourself.
50+: An average record that may disappoint, certainly if you don't care for the artist's prior releases or genre.
40+: Poor, but passes the time.
30+: Listenable, but one for completists only.
20+: Best to avoid.
10+: Actively uncomfortable.
0+: Delete it from your download queue and turn off the PC/put it back on the shelf and flee from the record shop as if the devil himself were nibbling upon your ankles.
