Have you ever listened to something that was so fucking cool that you actually had to have a beer because your mouth went dry? No? Then get this album.
Between Gorgoroth's new album and Panzerchrist's Battalion Beast, my CD player is spewing blood from being fed so much hate. This album is awesome! From the opening of the gates to the final track "epic" (epic meaning anything that is more then eight minutes and isn't boring), this album does not stop.
I don't usually put down my favorite tracks because I aim to love entire albums, but these songs are nut crunchers.
The Lean Black Cruiser, Infants' Graves, and The Spirit of Soldiers (this last is the "epic"). Being tracks 1, 4, and 9, respectively; these songs keep the album trucking. Not to say that the other songs are fillers...oh no, not on this album. Every track can hold its own on this record.
One thing to note, Reno is back. If you don't know who that is then I will describe to you what his feet sound like on his bass drum...machine guns. With Reno, better production, better guitar work then ever before, Bo Summer's frequent (and awesome) black metal shrieks, and a feeling of new inspiration and passion this album will definitely spin at least twice in a row in your player before you even absorb it.
Christ, thy name is Panzer!!
