Wow! It feels like Public Enemy No. 1 was released yesterday, and now we got yet another new song from Th1rt3en. I've already reviewed Public Enemy No. 1, so here, I will first compare the two songs to one another.
Let's get the first thing said right away. This song is much better than Public Enemy No. 1, because of a lot of different things. For one, the riffs sound so much more inspiring in this song. Mustaine also did better vocals here. The song in it's entirety sounds much more creative and also more like Megadeth.
The track starts off with a slow intro, which prepares you for something awesome. It goes on for almost a minute, building up the suspense as time ticks by. Then, you get a wicked riff that I have stuck in my head all day! Dave does an amazing job with the vocals both in the verses and choruses. The drumming is especially wicked in the parts right before the verses, where Drover uses the double bass the way it was meant to be used. Sadly, Ellefson doesn't get too much time to shine in the song, but then again, does the bassist get that normally?
I can honestly tell you all that when you hear this song, you will start to feel the hype for the new record. Hopefully, the other new songs are just as good as this one! I still don't feel as hyped as I did for Endgame, but still, I do believe that the album is going to be great. So go on youtube, and listen to this song, bang your heads, drink you beer, mosh and thrash till the death!
