Fall from Heaven

I´ve got to start by saying this demo from Swedish band FALLEN ANGELS has the most amazing cover art I have seen adorning a release this year. It´s the kind of artwork that you keep looking at, exploring and discovering something new in a small corner somewhere so many kudos to the creator of this fantastic artwork ! Very professionally printed too. The music matches the brilliance of the artwork as the band presents their mixture of Melodic Death Metal and Power Metal. You might think of CHILDREN OF BODOM or NORTHER upon hearing these guys but they´re a lot rawer and the vocals are a deeper growl. The production could have been better since the keyboards seem a bit overpowering (then again bands like this often want the keys way in the front) and the sound from my speakers sounds a bit muddled but it´s their first demo and there´s time to develop that. Of special notation is the lead guitar playing, truly showing some major ripping talant. I like these guys quite a bit and recommend everyone into Melodic yet aggressive Metal to check them out.
