Botulistum / Christfighter - Botulistum / Christfighter

Botulistum / Christfight split is possibly one of the worst in black metal. Despite my first perception of the bands, they seem to take their music as a form of joke. You can definitely tell with black metal parodies of songs such as Mary had a little lamb. Both sides become worse and worse as time progresses through these releases and to be frank, I had a few minutes pretending this wasn't an album, but an endurance test to see how long before I would smash the tape into many pieces, I guess that was the best thing about getting this tape.

Botulistum is the first on this tape. Now the production isn't very bad compared to the few other dutch bands i've been able to hear, it's actually half decent, something unexpected from such a joke. The vocals consist of random screaming and wailing of a strange sort, but it quickly becomes quite annoying and redundant. Most of their songs are no longer than your average grindcore song.

Christfight however was the true test of endurance when listening to this split. Not only is it horrid in the all-around sound and feel of this band but the production is, as expected, the worst production I have come across. Are they playing music or is this all amp feedback? I couldn't tell. I've heard some of the worst produced material that you will ever hear, but i'm seriously thinking this is one of the worst i've heard, to a point you can't figure out what the hell is going on no matter how long you're able to withstand this album.

This is definitely a load of tripe, and not worth your time to look for, much less spend money on. This is everything that's wrong with black metal bands and makes you think twice next time you buy a band that's so high regarded only to find they're a joke band. Completely worthless.
