Guest musicians:
Steven Wilson, the band's producer and also the leader of the progressive rock
band Porcupine Tree does guest vocals on the song 'Bleak'. He also plays some
guitars and piano. Markus Lindberg plays 3 eggs in 'Bleak'.

Blackwater Park was a german 70s hard-rock band which inspired Opeth to album`s
name.

Recorded at Fredman Studio during the months of August to October 2000.

Special edition re-release in slipcase (2002), limited to 1000 copies, includes
a 2nd disc with video for 'Harvest' and the two songs:
1. Still Day Beneath The Sun (4:34)
2. Patterns In The Ivy II (4:12)
The bonus songs are slower, mostly acoustic, and have singing vocals. The extra
tracks that appear on this bonus disc are actually the tracks from the vinyl
only single 'Still Day Beneath the Sun'. The video is basically footage of the
band at the studio.
