Description

Started in Chicago by Martti Payne. In 1998, Olympic Recordings gained nationwide, major label distribution via PGD/Mercury/Polygram (now UMD) via a deal with fellow Chicago-based Slipdisc Records. Olympic was bought by Century Media Records in 2003 and later closed in 2005 due to trademark violation enforcement by the US Olympic Committee.
