Founded by Andrés Santo Domingo and Thomas Clapp in 2002 and shared its first record the following year.
In 2008, Kemado established its Mexican Summer imprint to focus on small record editions before the label became the company’s primary identity.
In 2014, Kemado became the Kemado Group and shifted its efforts to media rights acquisition, management, and distribution. With the relaunch of the reissue imprint Anthology Recordings in 2015 and the expansion into book publishing via Anthology Editions.
in 2016, Kemado continues to discover and distribute a wide range of content in both digital and physical formats.
