Founded by Brian Perera, a music lover who first acquired his love for the music business after becoming an active participant in the Los Angeles club scene during 80s and 90s. He officially launched Cleopatra Records with three releases - Pressurhed (Bay Area space rock), Motörhead's "On Parole" (which was formerly out-of-print), followed by a sequence of reissues by German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk.
The label literally specialises in almost every genre of music, including a capella, acid, aggro rock, ambient, big band, blues, breakbeat, breaks, chill, drum & bass, electronica, experimental, gothic, hardcore, indie, industrial, krautrock, new wave, oi!, punk, reggae, synthpop, and techno.
