Avanzada Metalica was Mexico's first independent metal label, founded by Georgui Lazarov and Carlo F. Hernandez, two journalists working at the rock magazine Conecte. They also started Mexico's first real metal fanzine, Heavy Metal Subterraneo. The label was closed in 1995 and the whole catalog was bought by Discos y Cintas Denver.
Avanzada Metalica was reactivated on January 17th, 2012.
In the early '90s, they stared focusing more on death/black metal and here's where their discography also becomes rather difficult to follow, partly because they also started releasing demo tapes, which have a tendency to disappear from the face of the earth way quicker than any rare vinyl would.
