Unless we're both out of our tiny little minds (probably more likely for me than for you), it seems rather obvious that that's the case, don't you think?
There is no known explanation. It is assumed that it was lost during the recent rollback/database problems, though it's also possible that a mod accidentally deleted it.
Can't say I miss it. _________________ The bizarre lattices were all around. Sticks and bits of board nailed together in fantastic array. It should've been ridiculous. Well I for one need it right now...
I submitted "Iron Tooth" and it got rejected, but I never received the email saying why it was rejected (I have my notification turned on and I always receieve acceptance/rejection notifications), so I'd just like to know why it was so... _________________ On Iwrestledabearonce:

This band was rejected twice before you submitted it. The user who submitted them (a member of the band) complained on "Why was X band rejected/deleted" thread, but unfortunately it's gone now.
The band was a kind of amateurish project and the music wasn't metal at all. _________________ Progress is like a cheap bitch, you get pleasure now but tomorrow you’ll wake up with an eruption of syphilis. There're no condoms for progress. |

Nope, I didn't. Gmail is a notoriously smart email system, and it always puts these notifications into my normal inbox, but in case you're right, next time I submit something, I'll check my spam.

A lot of valuable information got lost and I'm guessing a hell of alot of questions will be asked again because it's impossible to figure out the original reply.

| I think moderators simple got headache with this topic so they delete it.I understand it and kinda support. If band is rejected so there's propably are reason for that(in most of cases lack of releases or "problematic" band genres). |

Yes but then the logical choice would be to lock it. What about all the questions who will be asked now because the answer is gone? _________________

Shall we take this one then, or wait until a moderator create an official one.
Or are there any chances that the old one will be restored? _________________ If you find any typing errors or ironical comments, then you can keep them.

The issue is currently being discussed on the mod forum. We don't know yet whether the thread is fully restorable. Until an official decision is taken, I'd say this one can be used. |

My band Goreationed,is always rejected,it says that i dont have a discography,well i have a DEMO
I did this to "Upload the photos to an image hosting service such as www.imageshack.us or www.tinypic.com , and then copy-paste the links to the photos to the "additional notes" section as you submit the band."
And it failed again!I sent like 6 times!What should i do? |

| Goreationed returned absolutely no results (in relation to a possible band) on Google. You should have some very convincing proof then. What kind of picture was it? Just a cover? Or a photography of the physical release? Provide also some samples. |

Something like that is not a valid proof, everybody could have a "release" like that.
Come again, when you will have a more distinquishable demo. this photo is not convincing at all. |

| Yes, now I remember having rejected at least one of those submissions. You should have a CD-R (/tape) demo out with some decent cover and show us a photography of this not just a computer-made 50px picture. |

yes ... a cover (perhaps even hand-numbered) is always good. Put some effort in it. _________________ If you find any typing errors or ironical comments, then you can keep them.

| I tried to add the band Speak of the Devil, which has indeed some alternative and experimental influences, but I found it capable of fitting in the archives, because it has lots of metal elements... So, why did you reject the band? |

Not metal enough. You have answered it yourself in your second sentence. |

A Band called Treig was rejected because apparently it wasnt metal enough.
Anyone who has listened to the band should disagree with the above statement.
http://www.myspace.com/treigblack
It was rejected for apparently being "too Dark Ambient Industrial".
There is NO industrial in this music at all
WHICHEVER moderator decided that its "too dark ambient industrial" obviously doesnt actually listen to metal anymore. Fix this, now.
Musically, Trieg is similar to DSBM, Doom Metal, Funeral Doom, Blackened Ambient, Dark Ambient/Black Metal and Raw Black Metal.
Quite literally, if this band isnt any of the above, then my username is vagina. And my username is quite clearly Something_Inside.
As I said earlier in the post, anyone who actually listens to this will clearly find that its Black Metal of some variety, and worthy of being in the archives. |

No it is amateurish ambient.
I recognize it, because I listen to real metal and not the modern excuses for it.
Something like blackened ambient was never metal and never will be.
I have already explained what is missing, real metal riffs and songwriting.
It consists of noise and feedback, nothing more.
Your band is one of the above, it is dark ambient, which has nothing in common with metal.
If ithas some metal influences, than they are only minimal.
http://www.metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=14116&start=2960
They are on the rejected list and will stay there.
Time to change your username. |

Last Days of Humanity will never make it, live with it. The bands are judged individually.
I have not heard the band in question, it is possible that they are borderline, but even when they were, one mistake does not mean open doors for other grindcore bands.
Read the rules on grindcore on the main page.

Anyway, stop asking, clueless people who judge bands by their image and ideology instead of their music have no right to demand anything here. Absolutely none. |

Since my thread got locked, I'll just ask here. Why would Tusk not be allowed on the site?
A) Though I know about the grindcore rule, their newest album The Resisting Dreamer is no where near grindcore. It's sludge, almost like one of Pelican's album.
B) Even if it was just based on grindcore material, Tusk is a sideproject of Pelican, and thus should still be submitted. |

Hey guys, I added the band "Carnophage" just a few minutes ago but you rejected it for the following reason: No releases yet.
When I was typing all the information in I wrote inside the additional info box the following: Their debut album "Deformed..." will be released on 26th August 2008 through Unique Leader Records.
So they have a release, they recorded that album back in the end of 2007 and they will release it in 2 months. So why is this band rejected? |

^ wait until the album is out. Recorded does not necessarily mean released and what if the release will never see the light of day, because of some unpredictable circumstances on the label's site? I just say Ars Metalli. _________________ If you find any typing errors or ironical comments, then you can keep them.

The "yet" should have made you understand that you should wait until the release date. |

Who rejected the band Verbatim? They have millions of CDs out.
No, seriously.
http://www.metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=916439&sid=1136d4cab744d6511b77f841a7506403
Burning a CD-R with a half a minute song, printing a computer made cover and telling us that that's a demo is an offense to all those bands out there that really have their demos released.
How many people got your "demo"? You and your dog? Because I really doubt someone would want to pay for this piece of plastic to listen to thirty seconds of prefabricated metal. _________________ Progress is like a cheap bitch, you get pleasure now but tomorrow you’ll wake up with an eruption of syphilis.
