I think mine would look something like this:

Name: Slipknot
Origin: USA
Status: Active
Year formed: 1995
Lyrical themes: Hate, anger, depression, pain.
Label: Roadrunner Records
Genre: The band hates genres and insists on being called just METAL
Band members: Corey, Mick, Joey and 6 other more or less useless fucktards

Additional information:
All the members wear masks and jumpsuits on stage and in videos, making them look like zombie-garbage men from hell. Their fanbase consists of mostly teenage boys with girls pants and eyeliner, and teenage girls with ridiculous hair styles. They are the only band ever to have so many members and produce such utter crap.

(I skipped a few pages, hope nobody had beat me to this crap joke)

Band: The Core Component
Genre(s): Pop/Rock (Early), Symphonic Black Metal (Now)
Year Formed: 2004
Origin: Paris, France
Line-Up:
Jamie Core (All Instruments)

Additional Notes:
The band was formed by Jamie Core in January 2004 with the aim of becoming "the ultimate -core" band. Jamie Core claims that the band is the ultimate "-core" band, borrowing heavily from every "-core" genre (hardcore, grindcore, deathcore, metalcore, etc etc). He describes the band as being "A bastard child of Killswitch Engage and Job For A Cowboy that was adopted by Discharge and Carcass." Despite his claims, the band has always been a pop/rock band in the vein of Blink 182 and Avril Lavigne.

In 2008, after being "pushed to the friggin' edge!" by his detractors, Jamie set out to make the most "-core album evar!" He claims that the album sounds exactly like his past material, but more "-core." However, his latest album is actually a Symphonic Black Metal album similar to Emperor.

Discography:
The first chapter of a 600 page book written by Jamie Core (2004) Full-Length
Tying the laces of defeat (2005) Full-Length
A fist to the face of the holy one's second cousin, twice removed (2008) Full-Length

Wastelander

Country: Australia

Genre: Thrash/Folk/Power Metal

Lyrical topics: Anything and all relating to the "Jak and Daxter" series, with emphasis on the Wastelander culture.

Year formed: 2008 (Got really sick of there being no new J&D games for them to play, so decided to put their finger-and-thumb skills to good use.)

Status: Active until the next J&D game is released. Temporarily on hold when the PS3 was first released.

Label: Sony BMG - who the fuck else is going to sign a band that sings about a Playstation game?

Lineup:
Jak (Nigel Simmons) - Lead Vocals

Torn (Hubert Goldman) - Lead Guitars

Ashlin (Ursula Fungle) - Bass Guitar

Sig (Muhummed Santosa) - Drums

Jinx (Herman Cramps) - Rhythm Guitars

Former Members:
Daxter (Fraiser Humphreys) - Drums

Additional Notes:
Formed in 2008 out of complete and utter boredom by a group of people who play way too much J&D. Fraiser Humphreys (Stage-name Daxter) left after 2 months as he wanted the band's lyrics to consist entirely of button combinations. Later formed similar band "The Naughty Ottsels", who have achieved much less success.

Band has stated in interview that they will split-up when a new J&D game is released, they're reformation will be dictated by how long it takes for them to get bored of the new release.

Discography:
Eco Metal - 2008
Single - 100% (What do I do next?) (2008)

CDs can only be played using a Playstation device.

Genre(s):power metal/AOR/harsh noise/soft rock/raw black metal

Year Formed: 1995

Origin: The thames, London England

Usual lyrical themes: LOTR, piercings, spitting at "uncool" people, charity work, pretending to be mutants from the thames, zombies, Matt Damon, world of warcraft and that evil guy from Detonator Orgun, you know the guy who's only line(s) seem to be saying Orgun repeatedly or laughing (or both sometimes).

Line-Up:
Master Daebattior: Vocals, drums and sampling.

Azeroth Morgrothuuahsge Mc.poppinfresh: Guitars, bass and noise.

Richard Rock (Vegard Sverre Tveitan) - songwriting, sticking out tongue and additional guitars (only on the more AOR stuff)

Additional Notes:
Formed in a stuffy July morning just before work, FCR wanted to cleanse black metal (mainly because the production values were so bad and the band members seemed to be anemic).
The band members believe they are all mutants from the thames (a place they say exists under the thames called Shathyrkh, which they base all their albums on the things that happen there).

Discography:
The Art of Crying, demo (1995)
Getting it Pierced, EP (1997)
Frodo's Closet (if you get what I mean), full length (2000)

Name: Set the Controls for the Heart of the Fun

Genre: progressive metal/disco

Year formed: 1988

Origin: Ottowa, Canada

Status: unknown

Additional notes:

In 1994, after staging the biggest selling tour ever to have been played entirely on airships (supporting their controversial anti-heterosexual disco album 'Put the Breeders on a Plane and crash it in the Sea), the band issued a press statement claiming they were going to build a studio beneath the ice caps of Antarctica and record their next album entitled "Nazi Supermen Now Live Like Mole-People - We SSeen Them, Brah", and have not been seen since.

Name: Accidental Cock Strangulators

Alternate name/spelling: ACS (original name)

Genre: Chinese traditional/pop punk/black metal

Year formed: Umm, last tuesday?

Origin: Singapore

Label: Not really a label, more like some blind peddler in the Orchard Rd. MRT station.

Lyrical themes: Being an ACSian, chicken/penis (not really sure 'bout which,) pedophile priests

Last known line-up:

Wang (Oh take a guess!)
Poonani (V0k1llzzzz)
Tot Wuri Handayani (5th ombudsman for The Indonesian Times)
Ugon (Dunno, he just showed up during practice one day)

Additional Notes:
Despite releasing Aleph-one albums/singles/EPs/wads none of 'em are worth listening to.

Originally formed by Rev. Goh Hood Keng who envisioned a band playing traditional Chinese music in contemporary fashion, the band quickly dissolved because nobody wanted to listen to it. Several minutes later Wang took over the name, expanded it, and began recording ∑(X-μ) number of albums. After 3 minutes, the band changed styles to shitty bedroom black metal (SBBM,) whilst retaining pop and folk influences.

Discography:
Chickenchoking (1:01 PM)
Chickenchoking redux (1:30 PM)
Revenge of the Chikenchoking (1:31 PM)
The Return of the Revenge of the Son of the Chickenchoking part II Strikes Back: Judgement Day (Six AM yesterday morning)
I CUNT GO FVCKING ONNNN!!!! (6:01 AM this morning)

Sorry if it's a tad immature/uninspired, I imbibed quite a few topi mirings.

Haha the member names made me laugh out loud...juvenile as they are. So, in line with my juvenile mood, here's a band I came up with in 10 minutes...apologies to most of you who read this.

Band name: Cock and Ball Massage
Genre: A cappella (only reason it's listed in the archives is that it's a closet favorite of morrigan :O)
Lyrical Themes: The penile cord
Year formed: 1974

Band Member:

Vocalist: The Masseuse

Discography:

1974 (debut) - In Violation of the Penile Code
1975 (compilation) - The "Best of" Cock and Ball Massage, Christmas Compilation
1989 - The Art of Whore
2008 - The Molestation of Rip Van Winkle

Band notes: The large gap before the second album release was due to his imprisonment for soliciting male prostitutes. He released his second album while in prison. It was concept album, with each track explaining the 11 different ways one can stroke a penis. Of course, he perfected this art while in prison. When he left prison in 2005, he spent three years working on his third album, another concept album. This album told the story of how he rubbed off the slumbering Rip Van Winkle, and how this action fostered homosexual dreams by Rip Van Winkle forcing him to enter emotional rehab after he awakens. It's quite the diabolical tale; the fact that The Masseuse is now pushing 68 years of age is not the least of the reasons why.

Sounds like a real band. If the genre was "post-metal" or atmospheric sludge it is.

Agreed. The "LOL RANDOM" approach is wearing very thin. Good satire is what we need here, not a lot of stupid genre names or lyrical themes.

Yeah I wanted it to sound real while taking cliches from that genre of "post-metal" and putting obvious fake puns, especially those name... twas fun I gotta admit making a band up. I could imagine such a band actually.

Biography:

Founded in 1981 by high school friends Bobby Thunder, Johnny Quest and Sam Freiberg, looking for a way to pass the time. Drummer Aaron Stotman was found shortly after and added to the fold, and the band recorded their debut album My Blood to the Stars in late 1981 and early '82. The record was critically panned due to its poor production (described by one critic as "revolting" and another as "sounding as it if were recorded in a basement with all of the sound engineers blindfolded") and sloppy songwriting, as well as the nasal and often off-key vocals of Bobby Thunder, but it did find a cult standing, and thus the band entered the studio the next year to record Life on a Razor Edge, which Johnny Quest would later describe as "a metaphor for the band's state at the time." The band finally made it big with Heavy Metal Bible, which received a stunning critical reception as compared to its predecessors. The band used the money to pay for Bobby Thunder's singing lessons.

Aaron Stotman was killed in 1993 on the set of their world-class live album Live at the Opera House, as a piano fell from the lift and crushed him to death. This resulted in turmoil in the band as they grieved, leaving Bobby Thunder and Sam Freiberg hopelessly drowning in alcohol, and Johnny Quest even remarked several times that he was considering suicide. The band played an unofficial "farewell" concert the following year dedicated to him - this would later appear as a bonus disc on the live album in 1996. They pulled out of their slump by the end of the year, vowing to play more "in [Aaron's] memory."

The band then hired ex-Prophet's Dream drummer Walter Grey, who influenced their compositions in a positive manner. They released the highly controversial Feline Ferocity I EP, which featured the surprise twist of drummer Grey's cat sharing the vocal duties with Bobby - Thunder Shocker would go on to record two sequels, both of which received mixed receptions.

Grey left the band after their self-proclaimed "magnum opus" in 2003's Kingdom of Cats, and Thunder Shocker proceeded to announce Hellhammer as their new drummer the following year.

2005's Gay and Happy was yet another controversial record, centering its concept around Johnny Quest's coming out of the closet. He penned all of the lyrics for the album, with such songs as "The Lord and the Lay" and "Chase the Day" featuring "the most moving lyrics the band had written to date," according to some critics. With 2007's Catch the Thunder, the band settled into a relaxed, rocking groove, but in 2009 they have announced that they will release a new album entitled Salvation, calling it "a visionary and epic masterpiece of proportions not yet seen." They have hired a full orchestra as well as a church choir to appear on it, and the band have said that they are "experiencing a creative rennaissance like no other."

I always wanted to get four or five friends together, all wearing black suits, and walk into random people funerals, just sort of walk up to the coffin, nod our heads and leave. This would work best if it were a small funeral at which the family would notice. Ideally we'd all wear identical sunglasses and radio earpieces.

Slay Them - Full-length, 2009

Biography
Formed by Mikko in 1999. All band members at the band's inception were friends from school. Band name was taken from Napalm Death's EP of the same name. They were originally known as Demented Wardrobe for the first two demo's, before changing their name to coincide with the lyrical theme shift.

Originally began as a joke/side project of Horoscope (Aus) by Mikko, with lyrical themes of clothing. However, after realising the limited nature of the themes he chose, he changed the lyrics to parodying metal bands. Leaders, Not Followers are now a more popular band than his original band.

Leaders, Not Followers were originally signed to Earache Records. However, in 2004, Bazza was reported to have won the lotto, and he formed his own label as another parody called Toothache Records. He now finances all the recording, gigs, promotion, and general duties of the band.

Judas Priest opened a court case against the band in 2002, for unlawful use of their name. However, this case was dropped 4 months later when the band became successful, and consequently Judas Priest's merchandise was selling 16% higher.

The bands Leaders, Not Followers parody are:
Judy's Pissed - Judas Priest
Assorted - Aborted
Sornuts - Gorguts
My Sugar - Meshuggah
Lip Hot - Slipknot
Dudsane - Mudvayne
Slay Them - Mayhem

While they parody bands from other genres, they predominantly play death metal.

Many rumours surround this band:
*When the band starting getting popular, Kenny wanted to be reinstated as bass player. The other band members then mixed eggs, semen, glass, and fecal matter, and hurled it at Kenny's house. This is denied by the band.
*Reports of Bazza and Mikko having sex in an Auckland hotel after a gig in 2005 are vehemently denied by both of them.
*It is rumoured that Chunky tried to break the world record of most McDonald's cheeseburgers consumed in 24 hours. He claims he got half-way before vomiting and suffering stomach pains and explosive diarrhea, however this is not confirmed.
*A gig in Sydney in 2007 was cancelled, because Simmo had his penis stuck in an electric pencil sharpener, another rumour he strongly denies.

Chunky released his own brand of underwear in 2000, called Chunky Undies.

I could just about believe that band is real, if the genre was grindcore instead. Something sort of in the Aussie grind vein, like Fuck... I'm Dead or Blood Duster.

I considered grindcore, but I wanted to do something a little different. :)
