There is no mentioning about physical release. Band member has posted links to download and said that this is the first recording of his project and asked for comments.

Ok, Epitimia has been deleted again. There was enough doubt raised on their releases. The submitter of the band can speak his cause here.

Is this band exempt from the "no physical releases" rule?

Nope. I see no evidence that the CD-r the page mentioned ever actually came into being, so off it goes until further notice.

Actually, that notice was put up in I think November of 06. If I remember, CDs have been spread, just not at all widely. You can contact Maciej or the band to ask.
Besides, I thought Witcher said that there WAS an exception for bands like that, that one in particular, who have all resources such as files, artwork, etc. ready to burn to disc, and offer that the listener do so until the official thing is pressed.

If Witcher said that (which I doubt), he was mistaken. If the band was a special case like Mortiis or By Dawn Cursed, I've never heard a word of it. If you can prove that official physical copies were spread, it can be resubmitted. Otherwise, no dice. The band's website offered no confirmation of any physical release--it mentioned that one was a "possibility", but no bulletin ever followed up on this announcement. All of the material documented on MA was matched by the band website as being distributed electronically only.

In Torment (Bra)
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=11302

Looks like the same band. The change of name may be enough to have two separate entries, but at least something should be mentioned in the additional notes, shouldn't it?

ARIANRHOD - http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=26936

They might be removed perhaps, because genre is "RAC metal"?!

RAC isn't a genre in a musical sense, so there needs to be information what exact genre of metal they play (if they actually do play metal, anyway).

I understand something like :
Thrash Metal/RAC, Heavy Metal/RAC

should be in additional note :
Not to be confused with Rap Metal xP

Trypanon
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=91474

There is a lot going on the site:
1. The release
Look at the last two tracks: no title yet
(???)
2. The label:
Then, the label does not have in stock and also not mentioned on their website. Neither on MySpace nor on their 'normal' one.
3. Google:
If you search for the release via google, then you find ... nothing.
4. MySpace site of the band
Nothing mentioned of a release at all.

I do not think that the band has a release out.

Also Falsefaced should be removed for not being metal enough and Canobliss should be re-checked I think it's too much alternative.

Atraphine shouldn't have been deleted. It had a physical release (information gleaned from following the links on the now nonexistent band page), though the data hadn't been entered on MA. As I said earlier, there are more than a few valid entries in this same situation.

Incidentally, Piotr, you are not being "ignored." If you do sloppy work, as some of these recent cases evidence, not everything you post here will be deleted. Getting your slimies and your silkens all bunched together in a foetid little knot will accomplish little more than netting some mod a migraine, and yourself an extra charge on your next gyno bill.
