I think the search function would be much more effective if you could search for topic titles.

Case in point, if I search 'suicidal black metal recommendations' the threads I get are...

Hair
Bands with B-Movie samplies
Black metal musicians: Are they really satanic?
Easier Venom?
Lame/Anti-climatic guitar solos
Black Metal obsessions
Cds for Trade/Sale
Lokisson Records (USA) trade/distro
Furry, scaley, slimey friends and more +

As you can see, the search function is near useless...even when set to 'metal discussion' results take about 10 pages of wading through before finding anything even remotely useful.

However, if you could search topic titles only, how many unrelated topics are gonna have the words 'suicidal black metal recommendations' in the title?

Yeah I agree with the unhelpfulness of it sometimes.

You meant the 'Search for all terms' box right? I just tried that with the same title and nothing met my search criteria. But if I wanted something with Suicidial themes in it I'd just search the advanced engine and type in Suicidal in the lyrical themes part.

The "Search for All Terms" box never has worked for me. Always comes up with zero results no matter what I put in it.

Same here. Even if you put in "metal" or "the" it doesn't come up with anything. :(
