This Zine Sucks #14 (NJ-US) - Oct. 1988 - A punk/hardcore zine. I went to college with editor Bob Conrad, whom of which is on the zine's cover in a caricature. It was as D.I.Y. as mine was at the time.

Who now the oldest active metal zine?!Necroscope have 15 years and almoust 20 number.Lost five 15-19 and new 20/mayby is finish/written in english!

Yep, crossover created a monster.

Admittedly, I've been a bit lazy the last week or so, so I haven't felt like venturing into the attic to retrieve more zines (it's like 30 degress up there). Maybe this week....

By the way, I'm working on a major book project that will cover every known 1980s metal demo, and while I have lots of zines I kept, I could always use more. If you want to get rid of your '80s and early '90s metal zines please PM me and if I don't have them I will buy them at a fair price.

For anyone interested in current zines, my friend publishes a pretty cool one called Morbid Tales. The new issue even includes a cookbook with recipes by various metal artists! Admit you want to try the Countess guy's "macaroni against monotheism".

I like the zine's DIY look, and the cookbook sounds interesting. :)

After opening the attic stairs to a nifty blast of Nordic-style air and being in shorts with a hole in the crotch, I have decided to brave the zine tundra another (hopefully warmer) day.
