Nauthisuruz, Russian neoclassical/ambient/black metal band have their entire discography for download on their site. Much of it is instrumental and black metal makes up only a minor part of their sound, not a typical band by any means. Epic, experimental, varied instrumentation. Reminiscent of newer Thy Catafalque.

Symphonic Black metal Russian band Tvangeste's second full length (and best) album, Firestorm, is up for free download on their homepage. While it's not amazing, it's pretty decent. It also includes a full orchestra and choir, with some decent arrangements. At least worth a look. The first album is available as well, but it's not really that great.

Recommendation as to which is best? I don't feel like dl all of their stuff right now, I'm already backlogged 6 albums.

Gothic Metal/Rock with industrial / electronic elements
two albums are available. All is under cc-license, so do not add the band to the MA.

Temnozor from Russia (yes, you all know them) has their first album as well as the Sorcery of Fragments comp. for download (which is basically the first album and the Fragments... MCD). The sites in Russian as the English site doesn't have the downloads. Armed with MA, you should be able to figure out what you're downloading based on the cover arts. Oh, they have a few songs from the last two albums for download as well.

http://www.thepaganfront.com/temnozor/aud.htm

Enjoy.

Skald, folk metal from Sweden, offers both of their demos for download, unfortunately, I was not able to unpack the Sagor demo - bad upload by the band?
Maybe you will be more lucky.

Try The End of Nauthisuruz for their more abstract stuff, lengthy epic tracks, largely instrumental. My World Is... is also good, slightly more conventional and vocally driven, although kind of patchwork.

7th Nemesis - Death Metal

Full album for download under the "V.I.M." link on their website.
Their part of a split is also available but is a little trickier to get to - the links are broken, but the songs are there. If you look at the one non-broken link, you can figure out the other 3.

http://7thnemesis.com/

Sun Of Sadness - Black / Gothic Metal

Under the MP3s section, their album "Forest" is available in it's entirety for free.

All of Fireaxe's music is provided with license to "distribute at will" by its creator. That said, in these situations, a link to the band's website (or other hosting site) would be preferable to a personally-uploaded copy.

ruigeroeland [Arianfist, I guess you are Russian? Could you do a rough translation of the band name, cd names and track names? This would be greatly appreciated!]

Yes I Russian.
I am not assured, but I shall try. Russian very complex. Especially the text pagan/folk groups on fantastic (tales) themes.

Dimaension X - http://www.myspace.com/dimaensionx

The MySpace has links to all seven of this guy's albums, which range from jazz-influenced grind to space rock to drone doom. In his own words:

Quote:
Imagine Bill Laswell and Marc Ribot or the late Sonny Sharrock jamming with Gene Hoglan at The Knitting Factory with Dimmu Borgir's Mustis providing sporadic symphonic synthesizer arrangements. Sort of.

Planet Gemini - The Path of the Wicked

Of all the bands imitating Black Sabbath I have heard, these guys are probably the most similar sound-wise, simply because they have a vocalist who can actually do Ozzy's trademark whine. It came up on my WMP and I remembered that I had an obligation to post it, so...

Here you go.
