Is their a problem with adding lyrics to a split album?

Yes, there are problems for users that have not attained veteran status when updating split albums; the edits don't show up for some reason. Sometimes you may get the points even with this problem, sometimes not. Either reach veteran status (you're not too far from reaching that) and update the release yourself, or report what you're trying to update so that a mod can add it.
