Hey everyone.
This time i did a kind of collaboration work.
Here is a beautiful instrumental piece composed by Ayun, a musician from Belgium, who is suffering from a spinal muscular atrophy. He is composing his music through softwares, and with his kind agreement I slightly modified this tune to do my own interpretation. You'll find his whole work (including the original version of this one) on his Soundcloud channel (search Ayun4), but overall it has nothing to do with metal. It sounds more like instrumental symphonic/atmospheric pop rock.

For this tune, the main guitar solo melody has been composed by Ayun as well. I just changed things here and there (mainly during the part between 1'23" and 2'38", i made the melody evolve because it didn't in the original version) and i entirely wrote the whole solo thing from 2'55" to 3'50". With my guitar sound and my playing, i make it sound a bit "metal" in a way, despite the softness and the sadness of the music.

This time i decided to play pdq 2 Loudblast classics (a cult french death/thrash metal band from the 90s).
I tabbed these by ear and played them point blank.

What a shame no one's commented yet. I'll go first.

I only watched the Spiritual Healing one. Nice Xiphos btw, which one is it? (what pickups/bridge/etc)

Your playing is very tight and controlled, thumbs up. All I can add is that you could be more expressive. Accent your riffing more powerfully and go to town on those bends when soloing.

No idea :-D
It is probably one of the lowest priced Xiphos. I got it for around 350€ and everything on it is original.
I just found the shape was nice, it sounded good (at least good enough for me) so i bought it.

My latest stuff :

A reboot of my work on Ayun's tune. More rakes, more balls.

Megadeth's This Was My Life, played with my girlfriend (whom i teach guitar since 4 years)

Death's Without Judgement, with this nice & melodic solo, which is pretty hard to play perfectly !!

Sweating Bullets, with my gf on rhythm guitar. Too bad her distortion was not loud enough :/ but overall its ok i think. A couple sync mistakes.

and i decided to record Diary Of a Madman with my folk guitar, just to have fun :)

...And Coroner shared my Last Entertainment cover directly on their official facebook page last week :headbang:
It was a small achievement to be recognized as a decent guitar player.

We are working on some quite difficult tune so we needed a break, just to have fun with a good song.
Well, if one could "have fun" while hanging... at the gallows end ^^

Besides, i decided to play some Orphaned Land cause i love this band.

Thanks dude.
It looks like the 2-guitars covers are more "successful" ^_^

As for me, im working on a full-album cover. 4 out of 8 songs are recorded, but one of the 4 last songs is .. like.. technically huge. I'll have to put my guts on the table to play that stuff.

Inside my circle of friends, they often ask me why i don't compose and stuff. But i did in the past. I got several songs ready to go. I tried last year to dive into home-studio things, recordings, fake drums, fake bass, fake synths, music softwares.. And wow it was such a pain in my ass. What i do like the most is to fucking PLAY guitar. Not spending hours and hours glued to my laptop screen.
Besides im not a pro, i just do this for fun (and improve my playing) ^_^
