Picked these up in Brisbane last Friday when I saw Dead Congregation.

Image

Destruktor - Opprobrium
Antaeus - Cut Your Flesh and Worship Satan

Also picked up a local Brisbane band Laceration Mantra's - Infested cd, who opened for Dead Congregation and tore the venue a new asshole. Pretty intense, savage death metal.

Dark Funeral-Where Shadows Forever Reign
Gloria Morti-Kuebiko
Wayfarer-Old Souls
Scar Symmetry-The Singularity
Gorgoroth-Destroyer (Or About How to Philosophize With The Hammer)
Vektor-Terminal Redux
Kamelot-Haven

Haven't really had a chance to listen to all of these yet, but the Dark Funeral is sounding really good and the Wayfarer is really solid too.

Mergers and Acquisitions:

Image
Found these three (and a few others) at a record fair over the weekend.

Image
Sniped this off discogs. I've never heard it but recently became obsessed with Nosferatu. I'm stoked that it has the original lyrics insert but I can't BELIEVE these mother fuckers put a price tag on the actual cover instead of the sleeve.

Edit: Bah! The insert is just a thanks list and band picture.

Got an FYE gift card for fathers day and used it for the following:

Overkill - Iron Bound
Death Angel - The Evil Divide

I knew most of the Overkill was a solid offering. Just trying to finish up my collection. As for the Death Angel, it's decent. Not as good as the previous upon initial listen but I like to give it 3 full spins before making my final decision on these albums. My next albums are likely all 3 VEKTOR records which I do not own. I kinda just found them this week. Never heard them before but they sound tremendous.

Flags rule! Just snagged a used copy of 'In the Minds of Evil' from Deicide, the limited box, which also comes with a flag (I like the album art more than most).

Haha, I was gonna grab that StarGazer album as well but I would've overdrawn my account had I grabbed a 3rd CD (and I wasn't about to take Blasphemy out of the shopping cart).

Yeah great stuff. And there's more Swano stuff coming my way at the moment. I love most things that he touches. Everything turns into gold in his hands.

You saps that had to settle for the 2016 digi re-issues of the first two Gorguts, any remastering or such on those?

I also recently bought those two CD's, and I'm not sure if the remastered digipaks sound any different than the original presses. They still sound fantastic and I can't find any issues.

I don't own them personally, but according to the DR Database, they're sourced from the 2003 remasters done for Two from the Vault.
