yes, I did - and I supposed that it was not really what he was looking for but found worth at least mentioning ("...they might sound too "rocky" and not metal enough..." ). Sorry for being OT...

Well, Crucifux was KIND of close with Nailbomb. They're sort of Godflesh-y, I suppose.

You are looking for Dead World

Probably the heaviest (and most underground) of any of the 90s industrial metal bands

Hi there... you can try the band LANDFILL, their "Extinction is Mandatory" album in particular, is very similar to PITCHSHIFTER's "Industrial" era...
LANDFILL: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Landfill/54027 (no youtube vids for this one)

Have you listened to "Unloved and Weeded Out" by CANDIRU? You have pounding bass and guitar+vocal effects+very eerie keyboard effects... worth checking!
CANDIRU: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Candiru/27622
CANDIRU - Sunburnt Innards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-oAJf-GZZ0

Hope it helps ;)

I myself am looking for industrial metal (a bit broader and blacker net than what is being thrown here though :P), but if you would like a good industrial metal band, check out Blut aus Nord, especially the later stuff.

On a semi-related note, there really should be and industrial metal recommendations thread, for people who are looking for this stuff.

Now stickied as requested.

One of the only indus metal album I really like is The Monolith Deathcult's Trivmvirate, I also like the indus influences of The Meads of Asphodel, any similar stuff?

Try Tristwood.

The Delphic Doctrine is where I suggest you start. Amazing and very underated band who have been doing the dark industrial death metal deal for a while now.

Anyone know any industrial metal bands that sound a lot like Ministry? This is the only one I can think of so far.

One of the bands mentioned earlier, N17 has that vibe going in places.

Also, Skrew's Dusted album.

I always find Playground's "Resilience" album has a certain Ministry feel to it in places, though it's more industrial punk than metal. See what you think:

Like Ministry...
Optimum Wound Profile maybe?
"One Head, Two Eyes" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwVCgDYgWTk
"Tranqhead" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfvuT09pErs

or Treponem Pal?
"Embodiment of Frustration" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAT4TyZ3ysA
"You Got What You Deserve" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5gdQLABydY

A friend of mine and I always loved to talk about "Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz" by Impaled Nazarene as some sort of industrial black metal album, since its weird as hell and has an out of control drum machine-gun... very good audio, pretty clear... here's a link, as a curiosity item... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-19TtWG-dbE

You might like Christdriver, a little known industrial metal act from my neck of the woods.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mkga9yhjac

Another band I'd highly recommend is And Christ Wept. Even though they're not really similar to Ministry, their work is some of the finest industrial metal I've ever heard.

Is there any industrial metal song with danceable riffs? I mean, industrial metal that is more akin to industrial dance.

Those of you who know early industrial know that there were a number of bands who didn't rely on electronics to achieve their industrial sound but by banging and smashing whatever objects they could find at the scrapyard. Test Dept and early Einstürzende Neubauten are the ones I am most familiar with. Now my question is, is there any industrial metal that utilises this technique? I know of Totenmond's Reich in Rost, but I wonder if there are any others...?

Not metal enough for MA (I foolishly tried to submit them years ago), but Swiss band Nàda may fit your requirements, especially their 1st album "Celmètra" - doomy tribal/industrial with scrap metal percussion, kind of a mix of Swans, Neurosis and Neubauten. 2nd album "Ùr" has more of an ethnic feel, though there are moments of scrap metal percussion.

What are some good extreme industrial bands? Id prefer the industrial influence to be obvious...such as a black/death metal Ministry or something?

With most obvious industrial influences I can think of:
Havoc Unit, also ...And Oceans, which has the same members of Havoc Unit.
Also Aborym, N.K.V.D., Dodheimsgard...

If you like more atmospheric stuff, I can also recommend Darkspace, Progenie terrestre Pura, Blut aus Nord, or some Axis of Perdition albums...

I don't think I could have got a better answer for "Ministry black metal" than Dodheimsgard, thanks.

Anyone got Aggrotech-ey Metal recommendations for me? Currently I'm listening to CeDigest, which leans heavily on the EBM side, and it turned out quite interesting, but not something you can headbang to, unfornately.

It has its moments. But it's not remotely "industrial metal."

Blacklodge do this, also aborym. Throbbing techno beats mixed with black metal. Kinda interesting.

Man anyone into Blut aus Nord definatly needs to check out Inlaid Rust. They don't have much material out but what's out there is the best BAN inspired stuff I've heard.

Rammstein (especially their "Sehnsucht" álbum) and The Kovenant.

Add Neurotech right under The Kovenant. They do the throbbing trance-beat thing fairly well, while staying relatively metal. The synths are also top notch and very prevalent, which adds to the lasting power.

Sounds like Ministry - Generation, their album Brutal Reality is just Ministry worship [especially Psalm 69] start to finish, nowhere near as good but still cool if you like the style.

Extreme industrial - Troll are pretty wicked, I've only got/heard The Last Predators but it's really good almost Zyklon meets Rammstein kind of thing [?!] I like their look too, dudes in suits with sunnies and guns ha ha

Also Mz.412 if you're looking for some twisted horrifying industrial black metal, again I've only heard/got Burning The Temple Of God but this album will give you nightmares for sure.

Can anybody recommend an industrial/cyber/groove metal band with female vocals? Something with guitar work that sounds along the line of Sybreed.

Female vocals being like Elize Ryd of Amaranthe or like the female vocals of Shield Mode by Oblivion Machine. As another criteria, I'd like to say that you don't recommend oriental bands because I dont care for their vocal style and how it sounds.

Thanks in advance.

Are there any bands playing a kind of metallic spacey industrial that's darkly atmospheric and almost melodic at the same time? I'm thinking about Blut Aus Nord's more mid-tempo ambient/industrial moments, such as the following songs for example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzRmo05G__4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9moR-1Ux2ME

It doesn't need to have any kind of black metal, but I'd prefer if it had a more metallic sound. I'd also prefer something less grinding in terms of repetition than your typical Streetcleaner influenced album, with more emphasis on texture and nearly ambient textures that evoke (deep or abstract) space like those two songs do. Is there anything like that out there in terms of full-length material?

The mid-period Samael stuff like 'Passage' might appeal to you, if you're not familiar already. Some residual BM influence, perhaps, but mostly electronic/industrial with metal guitars.

That Blow track has a cool malevolent energy to it, even if it's not quite metal - reminds me of 'Land of Rape and Honey'-era Ministry, just before they made the leap to full-on distorted-guitar-driven heaviness.

Is there any more industrial metal that's as good as Godflesh but isn't a godflesh clone? I tried Skin Chamber and Pitchshifter and they sounded like Godflesh clones. I like mysticum, thorns, and The Axis of Perdition. As I said in my other thread I posted, I like "nihilistic" music in general.
