Didn't bother reading through the whole thread, so I'm sure some of these bands have already been posted, but...
Descendents
Adicts
Bad Religion
Pennywise
Doom
T.S.O.L.
Gang Green
Reagan Youth
Discharge
Misfits
Black Flag
Verbal Abuse
D.I.
D.R.I.
Suicidal Tendencies
Dr. Know

Actually, I'm 99.9% sure that all of those bands were already posted, but I don't care.

Black Veil Brides? I thought they were some godawful glam rock/emo hybrid thing.

Any bands like the Pop Group?
Believe me, I know all the bands that would get rec'd first, The Fall, This Heat, Swell Maps, Gang of Four etc. But I'd like something with as heavy of a dub-reggae influence as the Pop Group, if there is anything.

Like this:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=okG8mlvAKT8

Many rolling dub basslines, that spacey production, and all those sounds and effects you'd find in an old school dub song

Scritti Politti - "Sweetest Girl" is all I can think of. No real punk influence, just new wave pop and ska/reggae.

I guess this goes in here...

Post-hardcore recommendations on the math-rock side? Been rediscovering bands like Unwound, 90 Day Men, and the Louisville scene (Slint, Rodan, etc.) and craving some new sounds.

Quick one for those more inside this subject than me. Does Tragedy run any kind of mailorder, since they released their albums through their own label? I'd be more than willing to support the band but I can't seem to find a website or something like that. Do I need to buy their stuff on the secondary market or is there a way to get in touch with the band for that?

Hey guys, I'm trying to remember a band name
It was an all female punk band form a slavic country. Not sure if it was Slovakia or Czech Republic.
Songs were sang in their language and not english
Also they had some strange folky instruments too, so it was not exactly punk, but I'm not sure what it was
Anyone knows which band is that?

I'm looking for more metallic hardcore that's almost verging on Entombedcore but not in the style of Nails or any of their doppelgangers. I'm looking for bands that turn their breakdowns into crazy all over the place riffs that still have cohesiveness and a fuck ton of groove. The band that is most exemplary of what I'm looking for is Fuming Mouth ( http://fumingmouth.bandcamp.com/ ) but Disgrace, Harness, and a good number of A389 Records bands fit too, albeit to a lesser degree.

I've been looking for a Post-Hardcore band, preferably melodic, much similar to The Ghost Inside. Anyone have recommendations?

I'm looking for Slavic hardcore, countries like Poland, Russia, Ukrain and Belarus seem to have the best scenes. Also Hungary though not truly Slavic. I think I've covered the more well known bands but I'm stuck in looking for more. I like bands like 1125, Frontside, Next Round, Ray, Schizma, What We Feel, Bona Fides, Devil Shoots Devil and Eye For An Eye.

All of the above are easily found going through country and similar artist lists on LastFM but still there's all kinds of lesser known bands like Точка Кипения that never show up anywhere, I'm looking for those!

I've opened up a YouTube channel with nothing but Slavic Hardcore if other's are interested.

Best album of 2014. Gas Chamber is the tightest band ever and if you do not get into them right now you will really look like an idiot.

I think I might've mentioned this band in this thread, but Revenge from Springfield, MA is definitely up that alley.

That Fuming Mouth is awesome, keeping an eye on that for sure. Maybe try some hardcore dude's death metal bands? And I'm assuming since you mentioned A389 you already know Homewrecker?

http://hatexforce.bandcamp.com/releases (mems of Harms Way)
http://genocidepact.bandcamp.com/ (mems of Abuse.)

Edit: Actually, Fuming Mouth reminds me alot of Frightener, who also really blurred the lines between metal & hardcore. No Entombed guitar tone though, this was way before that was even a thing.

I put my Hardcore collection on YouTube, about 700+ records. The channel itself only has about 45 video's on it, I've spread 300+ records over 6 different channels and linked the rest to records posted by others in decent enough quality. You need to browse the playlists I've created on the frontpage.

I'm still gonna make a section with lyrics in foreign languages (Scandinavian, Slavic, Romanic and Japanese) which I highly dig myself but nothing that's not already there in the sections I've made so far.

If you like aggressive 80's Thrash, Beatdown, Metalcore, Fastcore and Oi!/Punk edging on Hardcore pay a visit: Classic Hardcore Violence

I'd like some recommendations for crust with a more melodic edge, closer in style to Tragedy (S/T, Vengeance) but if it goes down the Disfear route (Live The Storm) I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm not going after the more extreme, faster and heavier stuff like Skitsystem, as what I'm after is really more about sing-a-long material and catchy choruses with a good measure of melody.

Anything cool in that style? Don't be afraid to mention well known names.

Yeah, I forgot to mention... Having a CD version is essential since I don't do vinyl.

Weird vocals that one though, not very "catchy choruses" material.

Not really no, but then again I'm fairly unfamiliar with post-90s crust punk. With that being said I find that album to not be what I'm looking for right now. It's too abrasive, and dare I say too metallic?! Needs more melody and more d-beat.

Anybody who would love Hardcore like Black Flag to be peppered with Heavy Metal or Classic Rock influenced guitar leads should check out this Hardcore band from my country, Weot Skam:

Feedback:

- Warcollapse is rad, although the vocals aren't really the kind I was after, but they do seem to be playing some cool tunes that I can really enjoy. Good balance between melodic lines and crusty aggression.

- Nuclear Death Terror I'm on the fence with. Doesn't seem to offer enough variation from the standard D-beat formula. I will investigate them further though, their Bancamp page has a lot to offer.

- Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade sounds like something that's bound to make me loose a few months of my life. Having only listened to half an album of each iteration of the band I have to say that they seem to have a proper formula and stick to it. It's good and has (apparently) enough variation to keep me interested. Now I need to see if on the long run I can keep up with 8 full-length albums in the same vein. A daunting task right there!

- Parasit is fucking mental son! Jesus, is this shit fast hard and heavy! Not what I was after but I'll keep it on the side for when I go into my Skitsystem/Disrupt kick. :nods:

- Gasmask Tërror really isn't my kind of thing.

Diswar, Instinto, Crutches, Parasight, Koszmar, Krüger and Warcorpse don't have CD editions. Sorry to be hasty and outright skip them, but if there isn't a chance of buying a CD edition then I'm afraid I won't loose any time listening to them (as good as they may be). On the same page Diskobra will be pretty much impossible to buy given that only a few tapes and CD-R copies exist... I obviously thank you for taking the time to post those links though, but I'm a CD guy. I hope you'll understand. ;)

Anything else I might enjoy?

I don't have any more recommendations, but I know that you could probably just burn the other stuff onto cds, unless you absolutely need only physically released official albums.

I do, sorry but that's how I roll. If there ain't a physical edition I can buy I don't see much point in loosing sleep over it. I know I may end up passing on some great music but that's just where I draw a line.

Come to think of it, the stuff I already have should keep me occupied for the time being. Thanks again for the effort!

Hoping for some recommendations as I'm just getting into crust & not yet sure where to look next.

I really enjoyed Trap Them's song "The Facts" and am looking for more like it. Bit more of a groove and a solid bass line, catchy hooks and melody but still brutal intensity.

I've enjoyed the thrash scene for a while but taking a bit of a departure from the standard thrash Anthrax-ish time signature and snare-driven drums.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Cheers!

General crust recommendations for a newbie:

Amebix (duh!)
Disrupt
Sacrilege (U.K.)
Dystopia
His Hero Is Gone
Aus Rotten/Behind Enemy Lines (same frontman)
Putrefaction (Ire)
Sanctum
Nux Vomica

Since you're a thrasher, Disrupt, Behind Enemy Lines, and maybe Sanctum would be the most accessible for you (most likely).

Cheers for the suggestions!!

Out of those above, I REALLY liked Putrefacation! Perfect pitched vocals for me (I prefer lower toned vocals, not quite death metal growls - still intelligible but lower pitched: think Motorhead), liked the groove / melodies and solid bass lines. Perfect! Thanks, Mates!! More like this would be appreciated!!

For more of that death-infused crust style (though with more "blackened" vocals) you should check out Dead Man, my friends' band from Oakland, CA:

Just re-discovered "Hard Jet Super Flash" by the danish Barcode from 1997. Nice gang-shout drenched hardcore stuff with a metallic edge!
Enjoy!

I'm looking for Oi!, albums from 1995 till now that are very good. It's all so lame most of the time, I like something hard and exciting! I don't care what country it's from. I've got a lot of Russian stuff that's more recent and very little else unfortunately except for 80s stuff. Some examples of what I like:

Hard Skin - 1996 - Hard Nuts & Hard Cunts (UK) http://youtu.be/P7bZz9EcZq4
The Skinflicks - 2002 - Lies, Damned Lies & Skinhead Stories (LUX) http://youtu.be/GUEXgmUACIk
Tattooed Mother Fuckers - 2004 - The Hate Edge EP (UK) http://youtu.be/EYpXRMohjZg
Nevsky Stompers - Self Titled ЕP (2013) (RUS) http://youtu.be/DmNMH9smqJ4
