$5 says there's a tiny label on the lining of the cap that reads "Made in Indonesia".

and another $10 says the bus driver's mom/wife/daughter works at the factory where they were made...

it may be, but keep in mind that it's a band that has no album, no concerts, no label, no website and no merch, almost no scrobles on last.fm, just one demo, one shitty photo on MA and one pretty cool logo. So, why on earth that bus driver should be wearing their logo?

Hey, could someone please help me identify this song? It's playing at the end of a gig recording, so you can hear people talking but it's still audible in the background.
I'm pretty sure it's from Jesu, but I'm only familiar with their self-titled. I've looked through some of their other material but couldn't find it :(

(title is unrelated to the actual song playing ^^)

I'm trying to remember an American band, sort of thrash/crossover meets crust punk, whose name is a Russian(?) word starting with a V. Any ideas?

A few weeks ago in this forum, someone bought up a great black metal band that I later found on youtube. Forgot the name, but here's what I remember:

- The album was this brown / tan monochrome picture of some big hairy human-shaped thing, basically looked like a faceless Chewbacca or Cousin It.

- It was a one-man band and the musician recently killed himself.

It has a page on the Archives as well.

Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot you can look up musician deaths here. For those who were interested it's Gegen Gravitation und Willensfreiheit by GGUW. And man, there's just something disturbing about that cover.

Im looking for a 3-piece band, they play technical progressive death metal and i think they are from Oregon. Their song's are pretty long, like 7-9 minute range. One song title i can vaguely remember is Jester's... something or other... I don't recall if they are on this site or not.

Your help is appreciated!!

This should be a pretty easy one. There's a semi-obscure OSDM band I used to know about; they only ever released one EP (no full-lengths) in the '93-'95 range, it has four or five songs, and the cover has a drawing (probably taken from some other work) of two or three misshapen, deformed-looking babies with ogre faces. I want to say they might have been German, but I'm not sure. What band am I trying to think of?

I've been listening to this since you posted it, circulated it on some gumby metal circles, and no one knows... could you give us a little more info? like when (and who) gave you the tape? is it mostly swedish, british or german bands? taped from CDs, vinyl or tape?

Insane from Sweden. The song is Evil Soul from their 1983 demo Games of the World. Fantastic demo btw.

Heh, you're going to hate me, but that's not it. :P The cover of this EP was much more detailed; it looked rather Giger-esque and surreal. It was in full color, too. Thank you regardless, though!

Advanced search (EP, death metal, years: 1993-1995) also help us to find this and this...
That was a fun trip to all those bands; there are only 10% of them with detailed and full-color artwork if we look only to bands with one EP and no other releases.

See, I know it definitely references the same painting as that Heftschentis EP (the two babies in the top right, specifically). Except it's in color, not black and white. Maybe I'm misremembering some details of the release date...?

That's a great site for finding releases that use a particular piece of artwork.

Looking for the name of a non-metal band.. They where a southern sounding folk rock band... I think I saw this band on one of the live show program 'Rockpalast' couple of years ago..; What I remember is that the singer also played guitar. And they had this song with lyrics (possible album title?) like: ¨south of the border" or "over the border" or something like that... I think the song was about a guy named 'Johnny (?), but not too sure about that though... The song had a bit of a western feel.. The frontsinger sounded quite American.. They didn't look like cowboys or anything but they where pretty southern looking (like in a Chris Isaak kinda way...) So if anyone knows the name of the band, it's much appreciated, cause it's been bugging me like hell...

you can go through the list of bands who have appeared on Rockpalast:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockpalast

it looks extensive, but most bands pretty much cancel themselves out, based on your description...

I found them! Not through the wiki list though :p Through the website; i just typed in 'border' to see what I would get, and yes, I found them back; they're called 'The Brandos' and the song I had in mind was called 'Over The Border'

The melody really kicks in about 2:00.

Hey everyone! The other day I was listening to a community radio station and I heard this really good song, but they didn't say the name of the song when I was listening. It was pretty proggy, kind of jazzy. It was rock, but had the guitars been distorted it would have been prog metal. The vocals were very clean, and almost power metal in style. The only lyrics I can remember are what I believe are "Arrive, just in time" during the chorus, and there was an occasional 4 note melody done by the vocalist too. If anyone can identify it, I'd appreciate it so much.

Hey guys,

ran into this hilarious clip in fail/win compilation video. And the music blew my mind away. Couldn't find anything on it though, too little information to work with. Check it out! I really hope someone will be able to help. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know the sludge band with two albums that could be paired and played together? One album was sludge metal, the other was tribal music.
