This made me laugh so hard . I did cut my hair hair, darkeningday. It had many moments of just bizarre curls and jew-froing it up.

Two new kittens we adopted a few weeks ago:

The pictures aren't so good because they don't like to sit still for very long.

They were said to be unadoptable, but very good with other cats. They were very fearful for several days once we let them out of their cage, and they sometimes still get a bit scared when they see people walking towards them, but they've improved a lot in just the short time we've had them.

They are already coming up to be petted and everything. It's wicked cute. They are all soft and small, and they sometimes both gang up on and rub all over my legs and follow me around. I know they're mostly scent marking, but they're also coming to be petted, and it's good to see they aren't as fearful as before.

Some of the older cats are still not used to them, though. They don't like the new cats trying to rub all over them.

Last Australian summer really sucked ass. I decided it was a good idea to go swim in my cousin's pool, since my air-con had blown up and the owners of the house were too lazy to fix it. I put sunscreen on twice (before I went in then 2 hours later) but still got burned so fucking bad that I peeled from my hands, all up my arms, back, chest etc Here is the aftermath Was itchy as fuck

Nope. Never been in the Americas. I just find puzzles like finding the location of a subway station in a pic enthralling. Geoguessr is a great thing.

I don't know about coming to the USA, really. As a general rule, I don't enjoy anal probing, in the border control or elsewhere.

How well known is Chicago among Europeans? I've always had the impression that everyone seems to know a country's two largest cities (I.e. New York City and Los Angeles for the US, Oslo and Bergen for Norway, etc.), but people normally seem to fall off by the third (Chicago.) Unless that's more of a "world-ignorant American" thing...

Wow, you're doing a terrific job of making Chicago look like a nice place to visit.

It is actually. It's a beautiful city with a great atmosphere and a great nightlife. Also has some really killer metal places and good shows always roll through. But just like every other major metropolitan area it has a ghetto and it has places where you shouldn't go and need to be wary of.

A lot major american cities are known by name at least here. The netherlands is a country that always has kept track of the outside world though. Not every country in europe is like that.

Azmodes - What concert is that?

The Morbid Feast, semi-small metal concert in Salzburg. There's three each year, this one focusing on death metal, the next on thrash and the third on black metal. A good friend of mine is one of the people behind it and I'm helping out with various tasks. In exchange I get in for free, couple of free beers too.

Some interesting observations there, SLK. I'm okay with the slender man comparison. I'll have you know that my beard used to be massive enough to contain those things batman speaks of and more. Maybe it will happen again, I can pretty much protrude and retract it at will by now. About the highly motivated, totally not creepy look, I wasn't observing scatporn but people playing foosball nearby, as well as having a good buzz on from the amber liquid you see next to me. That look is true contentment.

You look like a bearded, less bald version of my brother in that picture.

The same look of contentment is usually found on serial killers after dismembering a body.
