I tried searching for it but couldn't find a thread for Killer Be Killed, the band featuring Max Cavalera, Troy Sanders, Greg Puciato and Dave Elitch.

I've been looking forward towards this album for quite a while now and they just released two new songs. It wasn't quite what I expected (I thought it was gonna be at least a bit heavier) but I still really like what I hear.

The combination of the three vocalists are awesome (especially Puciato that sounds fucking killer).

So, what do you guys think? Here's the link to the songs:

What an odd combination of distinct musicians to make boring metalcore.

It feels.... wrong, for anyone other than Subrick to have the honour of making this thread. Anyways, it sounds like something I would have dug back when I was still first getting into heavier music. Nothing that really interests me now, however.

It's not bad though.

Yea it's far worse than not bad. How about painfully generic and boring. I listened straight for 4 seconds and then just randomly clicked about in the song. Every terrible metalcore cliche possible. terrible band name. This is a waste of everyone's time.

If you're going to hop a trend it's a good idea not to hop on it seven years late.

I like it. Kinda weird that these guys would make Killswitch Engangecore, but I like the chorus and especially the parts where they start getting a little heavier. I'll ened up checking the album out, think that its surprisingly good, and forget about it a month later

This is slightly better than Five Finger Death Punch, and that's the best thing I can say about it.

Pretty ridiculous, but I don't know what anyone expected from Cavalera anyway.

This is one of those moments where I'm completely blindsided by a project I never expected to exist. It is a strange combination of musicians and it's not awful, but it's not earth-shattering either. It may make its way into my collection alongside Cavalera Conspiracy's stuff, but time will tell.

I've heard that hard rock/alt metal/metalcore song, Wings of Feather and Wax, about ten times before when it was played by other bands. I can barley contain my two step windmill bro fists when listening to Face Down. I give this twenty derps out of derp.

I can totally understand all the criticism towards this album, I don't really think it sounds like your typical metalcore though.

For me one of the greatest things about this project is hearing Greg Puciato singing something other than The Dillinger Escape Plan and I think that his parts in these two songs simply kill.

It will be interesting the hear how the rest of the album sounds.

No, it's not just metalcore.

Too bad he decided to spread his wings with something like this.

I like good metalcore. I do not like this.

Oh wow. Pretty fucking boring... Idk I expected much more of this... Sounds like some boring metalcore/post-hardcore thing to me. It reminded me of Machine Head, aaaand i'm not happy it did, the vocalist sounds horribly mallcore and the overal sound is very generic...

Overall very displeasing... :(

This. Exactly what I thought...

From the topic title and not knowing the band I had hoped it was Karl Sanders...

yeah, this sucks. and i can hear the cavalera riffs all the way through it, so i can't blame the others, haha. that being said, i hate the vocals the most. i hate those harmonised metalcore/screamo vocals.

My only complaint is that it sounds like someone literally took parts of songs of Cavalera Conspiracy, Mastodon and The Dillinger Escape Plan and put them together like a fan edit you can find on YouTube. As for the songs themselves, doesn't really sound too bad, actually. Just because something doesn't sound like traditional metal doesn't make it metalcore, guys, and metalcore this ain't. This sounds more like a modern interpretation of thrash/punk with progressive elements...but who am I. Anyway, I like this.

It is metalcore. It sounds just like bands I recall groaning at back in the early 2000's

If you like it that's fine, but don't try to define it as something that it's not.

God,that was awful...i mean,August Burns Red sounds heavier than this, and that's not a good thing at all,i'm very surprised of how boring this is.

i see what you mean...after all this is the same man who has teamed up with the entire Nu Metal scene back in the day...Cavalera Conspiracy is pretty cool though

Sounds crummy.

I'd rather listen to Soulfly's early nu-metal records.

This is a disappointment. So much for that Napalm Bomb comparison that was swinging around. I thought just Greg Puciato was going to be doing vocals? And they're using his Greg's clean singing?? Sounds marginally better than Soulfly but that's hardly an achievement.

Additional note: I laughed pretty hard at the review snippets.

Well the whole thing has leaked and I've already listened to it twice. It's safe to say that the first two songs (the ones released earlier) are the worst songs on the album.

The album is both heavy, melodic and progressive with a lot of quirky little details that I really like.

I think you need to look past the members past works in order to really enjoy it.

I have to listen to it more but I actually think this is even better than I hoped for.

It fits the shitstorm of the music. That way you can just immediately avoid it. Hell I had forgotten about this garbage till it was bumped up again. God so terribly bad.
