Probably this is question that has been answered yet, but it's hard to dig it out of all the countless ones. So: Got the vinyl+dvd of Wolves in the Throne Roon, live at Roadburn, and it's a black vinyl. In the Archives they're mentioned only coloured... how many black vinyls do exist?
Tnx

Hello there! I wanna confirm one thing, it's about the Morbid Saint - Spectrum of Death (Grind Core version). Are there all the genuine version with the silver ring inside? Because I saw the video on the youtube, And I just wanna make sure is there still some genuine version without the silver ring inside? Or if somebody can show me the pictures of the genuine, that will be better. Thanks a lot!

It looks like this unofficial Russian one, also did you read the comments under the video?

Thanks for your reply, and I did read the comments under the video. I mean, because I saw the original version with a silver ring inside and a thick silver edge on the CD edge as the video uploader stated. But I have saw some original version pictures without the silver ring inside. That is, I saw some original version pictures doesn't like the video uploader stated. So I just wanna make sure are all the original version with the silver ring inside or not, thank you!

It's all good mate, don't get ripped, always ask questions [first]
Semi-related a band member was posting in here recently about the recent reissue of that album :nods:
I'm fairly sure they mentioned something about one of the bootlegs out there...

Shit, I didn't know they had burned that thing down (literally, apparently). That's pretty bizarre as I was talking about the reissue with a distro owner I know. So all in all Morbid Saint are really against labels, he. Some of you will understand me taking a piss at them. ;)

Something I just realized and I was wondering if anyone here could verify this... On discogs I noticed that the images added to the 1991 release of Suffocation - Effigy of the forgotten contained the inlay scans of a version which has the 'newer' Roadrunner Records logo on the side... http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=2194274 is this correct or has someone accidentally uploaded the scans of the re-press to the original version's page? Though it was weird (shouldn't it have the original 'RoadrunneR' records logo on the side? or maybe only RC records on the side?), I tried looking up some scans of the original but couldn't directly find any (and i have the re-press with that exact new-school logo so I wouldn't know)... so f anyone could just verify which roadrunner records logo the original first-press release contains, it would be much appreciated...

ShAgRaTh83 originally submitted the release and provided the scans, so whatever it is they have is what you are seeing.
It hasn't been hijacked and looks to be a unique release.
I have asked for one of the other represses/reissues to be checked though, possible double up...

A repress will have the same imagery even if the label [say Roadrunner/R-C/Road Racer] has a new or different logo, in theory the only difference will be the disc itself, if it was manufactured at the same place the differences could be minor.

A question on the Disma - Towards the megalith vinyl repress by doomentia recs, 2013:

Mine is gatefold, contains a poster and lyric sheet but it's black, and single. Here on the Archives it's written that it should be either a double LP or a picture disc and one of these two versions should contain a bonus 7'ep. Must say that I purchased it new and still sealed in a local store. What am I owning?

Of course it's what mine says. :p It's just that the Mould code seems like it's written in both the top and lower layers of the inner ring, so it kind of blurs together. But from what I could tell that's pretty much it.

Mastering code and matrix are clearly visible though.

hey guys. I just bought Sepultura - Arise, RR9328-2, 1991 Roadrunner Records. So it would be first press, but the CD came sealed and completley mint, so it is probably a bootleg. The thing is that it has a correct barcode which is 168619328-2 4 as the only matrix number (besides the bar code) wich coincides with the back cover bar code. Still, there is another contradiction, since it comes with "Orgasmatron", when 1st Roadrunner Records didnt have it. Only Brasil and Japan versions did. Can you help me?

SevenFaces, looks like boot.

If you could upload some pics, especially pic of matrix, it could be much easier to conform it 100%.

Also you're in Argentina so it could easily be a 'licensed' copy
Where did you buy it from?
The barcode as the matrix is a warning sign indeed, as drobowik says a decent set of images especially the matrix would be good.

Hey Dread, I got a copy of Dahmer today that has yet another matrix. Probably a repress from the first batch of Olympic/CM stuff that came out, since the matrix is very different.

Just thought you'd like to know about it. There are way too many CD variations of that album... :oh shit:

Can you put your matrix etc in here so I can see it

Photos and barcode/CAT#/matrix info would be needed for such.

Holy balls, put some spoiler tags on that one will you? They're located just above the text box where you write the post.

Other than that, legit reissue. You have nothing to worry about. ;)

kirkko if that's the only difference you can add your matrix as a variant
I have that version too Variant 1 was added by me

Matrix / Runout (Variant 1) : 112407-I3-9271-2-N
Matrix / Runout (Variant 2) : 112407-I4-9271-1-M

Shall we splice this thread with the CD Identification, Matrix & Bootleg Help Thread ?

Morpheus Descends - Chronicles Of The Shadowed Ones

Any bootlegs of this floating about that you guys know of?
Apparently there was a problem with the first press and and rear cover was upside down so the second 'batch' had 2 rear inserts?!

Some scans I was sent
