Killwhitneydead, formerly playing unacceptable deathcore, have a new album called "Suffer My Wrath". They seem to have taken a much more melodic death metal influenced sound on this album, and while I'm not sure if the album is actually out yet, I suppose the mods ought to go ahead and evaluate the album.

I recently submitted NIHILIFER, with full information, but moderators approved the first one, just for being the first one and it's totally poor. I want my submission accepted and the other one deleted by lack information and because my first submition was BETTER and COMPLETE.

It wasn't much better. You submitted it 4 days after it was already in the queue. Yes, sometimes we take the better one but yours wasn't good enough to justify that because there wasn't much of a difference and you had a few mistakes that would have needed fixing, anyway. I was willing to transfer the info if you weren't. Let's not forget the band submission page says:
"Before submitting, PLEASE verify that the band is not already in the submission queue!"

You could have added the information to the approved submission instead of resubmitting it after it was already accepted. I was giving you that time to do that if you cared about points. I'll update it now.

Also known as "Here Come the Posers" in the Mexican Metal scene. Toré and David's former band was a million times better than HTCP.

And no, they are not Metal.

They weren't blacklisted, so it was submitted by another user and approved by another mod who presumably didn't know about the discussion here. Note that theunrelentingattack's post wasn't exactly a final "no", though.

Recently Nachtlich from Australia was rejected on the grounds that it is not a metal band.
I think this is a mistake, Nachtlich is a black metal project with noise elements.

First release is a very limited demo, of which I have a copy.
Further to this, Nachtlich has recently released a split via Wolfsvuur Records, a black metal label in The Netherlands.
A flyer for the release is here: http://www.wolfsvuur.nl/images/flyer022014.jpg

Preview of 1 song of Nchtlich is available here:

Can the rejection/black list please be reviewed please?
I would like it to correctly link to Nachtlich from the split's page, located here:
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Entsetzlich/Echoes_from_the_Void/402604

Thanks

wasn't much better? I specified the year of foundation, the changed names, the lyrical themes, I add picture of the band and logo, band members and everything.... Man, NIHILIFER are from my hometown, I drink with them, How couldn't be my information better? My submit was better than the approved one, if you don't want to accept it, it's another matter. I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry but my submit deserves more respect. I want the accepted one to be deleted and It's nothing to do with "points", they (Nihilifer) asked me to submit the band with all the RIGHT information, you can not just reject my submit because "wasn't on time" or "someone's submit was already on queque". Please understand my point of view. The worst part of all is now other user ROB all the information I brought to this page and take the credits. I demand my submit to be accepted and the other one deleted.

Nope, totally wasn't a final "no" - I wasn't convinced at the time and I lost power during our last storm here so I hadn't had much chance to get back to this but I'm totally fine with it if Halloween heard something I hadn't gotten to.

I haven't heard this release yet but isn't Unhappy mostly ambient? Do you have any links to songs to prove they are the "Raw Black Metal" that DIR claims they are?

Hello,

I've recently wanted to submit a band I released via my label, Unquiet Records.
The band is called Fleshworld and is from Poland. Now I see the reason it was blacklisted might have something to do with the fact that in the beginning the band was very "un-metal", doing triphop/post-rock. This, however, is no longer the case.
They now play post-metal/sludge metal with harsh vocals and black/death metal influences. Therefore I would like to ask for you to take the band off the blacklist.

Here comes the proof - recently released album "Like we're all equal again":
www.facebook.com/fleshworld
www.unquietrecords.bandcamp.com
www.unquietrecords.8merch.com

And some reviews:
http://thesludgelord.blogspot.com/2013/ ... again.html
http://frombtozee.wordpress.com/2014/02 ... t-records/
http://powermetal.de/review/review-Fles ... 23768.html
http://www.demonic-nights.at/2013/12/fl ... ual-again/

Cheers!

The song on the split is random guitar chords and noise. The tracks on Myspace were noise. Not metal by a long shot.

The band was blacklisted in January this year; the mod listened to the 2013 album. Sounds like post-rock with harsh vocals. "black/death metal influences"

It's raw black metal/noise, not solely noise as you've noted.
MA has many bands listed as Raw Black Metal/Noise, why is Nachtlich viewed differently?

Because there is little, if any, black metal to be found. It's not predominantly metal. Bands listed on MA as "raw black metal/noise" are predominantly metal.

Okay no worries, seems we have different opinions about this one, I can see you aren't going to change your mind, thus let us agree to disagree. Thanks for your time reviewing this one.

So what of The Defiled? They seem to be Industrial / Groove Metal?

Shame Dividing The Element was not accepted since that seems to be the only existing Zimbabwean Metal band.

As far as I have found, Wolf Krieger has been blacklisted for not having physical release. Now, here is proof:

http://winterrealmrecords.bigcartel.com ... od-suicide

Ambient/DSBM, in my opinion. Can it be re-submitted?

According to the blacklist, there's only one original metal track, the rest is ambient.

The band Hypnotic (Germany) was rejected because:

Encyclopaedia Metallum wrote:
The Facebook link is dead.

The link is https://www.facebook.com/HypnoticDeathMetal

Encyclopaedia Metallum wrote:
Provide proof that the band plays metal (a link to song samples) and has a valid release (either evidence for a physical release, such as photos, or for a valid digital release).

The demo-album will be release by Endwar Records on tape.

Please add the band to Encyclopaedia Metallum. Thanks

So the release is still upcoming? Please wait until the tape is out then, a valid release must be out and available already.

Hello,

I couldn't able to add the band Athor (from Turkey) to metal-archieves since they are banned!

Here is the facebook page and youtube channel of the band:

http://www.facebook.com/athorband

http://www.youtube.com/channel/UChbGh3R ... ture=watch

The style of the band should be acceptable for adding to metal-archives. In addition, they have two albums as CD format. Can you please let me know how I will able to add Athor to the site?

hey, remember me you guys? I was here years ago trying to make a case that Tool and Primus were more or less metal bands. I'm just stopping by briefly before you shitcan me.

Do you mean to tell me that Primus plays "rock riffs" yet Alice in Chains is a metal band? Go fuck yourselves, ya sniveling morons. In particular, whichever mod blocked me, I remember you were from Finland. Blow me ya close minded prick. Alright see ya later. P.S. Black Sabbath is a rock band too ya fuckin cunts

Some sort of dark ambient with no guitar riffs.

Band "Liveride" from Russia has been blacklist. But it's atmospheric black metal. Also a few digital releases are available for download: http://myzuka.ru/Artist/39946/Liveride
Can I added it again? Or was other reason for blacklisting?

The blacklisting doesn't say anything about the music - it's simply because there's no valid release. All digital, no valid distribution.

I tried submitting the band MHÖNOS but they are blacklisted.
Their 1st release was a solo ambiant drone project but they're now a band with a full line up playing Black Metal influenced Doom/Drone.

Proof of physical release on label + Audio sample: http://store.deadseedproductions.com/pr ... atefold-lp

Can this be reviewed?

Hi,

I was looking in the search tab for Five Finger Death Punch to add some of their albums to my collection.
It said that that band was blacklisted.

Maybe it has been asked on this thread before, I honestly don't know, I didn't read the full 261 pages.

Can anyone explain to me why they are blacklisted?

Because they're not metal... you could have used the search function to find that out.
