I got a copy of the CD years ago when Stillborn Records was literally giving them away for free for each CD you bought. Best thing I ever got for free, certainly. I sent an email or two asking if they had any more of them, but I never heard back. It's a shame because it's a great album, the band split up before the resurgence of this sorta death metal circa 03-04 with Vital Remains featuring Glen Benton.

Also yes.

Already working on getting in touch with waigouren (clean out your PM inbox, you ruffian!) re: Korea. I knew he had taught ESL over there but he sometimes doesn't have the nicest things to say about Korea/Koreans so I was hesitant to let his experiences talk me out of it, but we shall see!

You're too kind, I'm still learning, maybe one day though?

@ Iamntbatman, ever considered Qatar? Some of my friend's family work there and like it -but it's very hot! (buildings have air conditioning though)
On second thoughts I'm not sure about security for westerners?

Qatar has much stricter requirements for teachers. You need to already be a licensed teacher with at least two years' teaching experience.

I just accidentally sent a rather sexy text message to the wrong person. Whoops.

Any thoughts on the new Sunn O)))/Ulver collaboration? From the three minute sample I heard, I could it was both fairly good and very Ulver-dominated. Anyone hear the whole album?

That's nothing. I once received a text message (a picture no less) of a random woman breastfeeding.

I like when you click a thread and see something good to reply to but when you go to post you realise it's the first page.

Just out of curiosity, who sends a dirty text to someone as the first text to that number? That's always bothered me when I see that shit on memes or personal anecdotes.

I have an old phone where it's pretty easy to send things to the wrong person. You write out the text and then select the recipient. Thankfully I'm pretty careful with that, but I accidentally sent my grandmother "I love you" instead of my girlfriend a while ago.

Fact: It is physically impossible to not play Rotting Christ's "In Yumen Xibalba" at incredibly loud levels.

LUCIFER! ANSWER! XIBALBA! *BACKWARD CHANTING*

What a fucking album-opener.

It's the type of stuff that made me fall in love with death metal.

So this beelzebub pic isn't so random.

Shrine of desecration is a good album. But this guy is pretty obnoxious. Barely anything fits into his very narrow view of what constitutes good music. Dare a band try something unconventional and he'll dismiss them. Most of anyone is a hipster by his standards.

That guy fits totally into the post 00' internet elitist profile.

Just a look into his reviews told me he's just a poor frustrated guy who needs to look harsh on known metal to get acceptation from the trve metalhead community. When he decides to be nice with a particular album he does a terrible job explaining it.

Even so if he had/has a band, he sounds immature as fuck. Its just another shitty guy on a ocean of shitty Bloggers.

Pretty dull morning of laundry and cleaning ahead of me, so inspired by the chat a page or two back I'm going to blast through Accident of Birth, Chemical Wedding, and Tyranny of Souls. Whoever said Harris is the problem with modern Maiden, I'd absolutely agree. Did anyone hear his solo album? I never checked it out properly, but it had a strong whiff of shit about it, if I remember correctly.

And for the record, I'm totally in the *Final Frontier is pants* camp. Unsure if it's worse than AMOLAD, but neither have left me particularly inspired. Maybe if today turns into a latter day Maiden fest I will revise my opinion, but I honestly find Brave New World and Dance of Death to be waaaay better albums (repetitious choruses aside...and let's be honest, that's a long-running joke with Maiden).

I wonder when they'll have new material...one more year?

Speaking of the Steve Harris solo album, there's at least one really good song on it, minus the vocals of course:

:ugh:  Holy shit. The vocals are appalling. My current favourite shit vocalist is the guy who temporarily(?) joined Portrait, but this bloke is another level up. It's like they forgot to turn his amp on! Also, where are the guitars? And lastly, it seems baffling that a guy of Steve Harris' wealth, fame, and influence would have such a shitty music video -- compared to the Maiden ones this was unbelievably budget. Looked like they'd shot it on a smartphone.

Anyway, shouldn't rant at Steve- better out than in, and we won't get this stuff on a Maiden album: but back to listening to Bruce...!

I wanted to review that Steve Harris album, but after sampling a couple songs I just couldn't do it. So fucking lame.

So the other day I was at the bar and a random guy came up to me and said "You're a tank, how much do you lift"? (keep in mind I'm just as fat as I am muscular). I don't know whether to feel flattered or creeped out.

I get that a lot but I'm not fat at all and I like to wear sleeveless shirts so yeah. It's flattering of course, especially when they compare me to people like Johnny Weissmuller and John Wayne.

Ask Diamhea about it. I just realized that wasn't who I was talking to right then when I made that post above. only glanced and saw d in the name.

But about 5 pages ago he made this post about some dude shaking his dick in the stall like violently and grunting and how he thought the dude was jerking off. So that's what I've been saying to him ever since now.

I have been on a huge Voivod binge lately. I've always liked them but something clicked all of a sudden with me and their music and they are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands.
