For those that didn't already know: In 2014, the kings of death metal, VADER, will be returning to once again prove themselves as one of the greatest bands ever, with a new album called "Tibi Et Igni". Peter had this to say about the CD:

Quote:
"All track[ing] will be done [by] the end of January and whole thing by the February.

"Expect the album in stores about April/May 2014.

"To all expecting new forms, artistic experiments or other pathetic garbage, we say: GO TO HELL!! We are devoted to metal and loyal to our fans.

"VADER was born in the heat of the stages and it was YOU who always keep that fire burning. This new album is our dedication for that power and loyalty!"

I won't lie his comment about this album being a dedication to the fans really makes me feel like he is one of the best and most honest musicians in death metal today. The album will be called "Tibi Et Igni" (which means "For You and Fire"), and I am unbelivably excited to hear this album. In my opinion, "Welcome to the Morbid Reich" was the greatest album of Vader's entire career (including masterpieces like "Litany" and "The Ultimate Incantation"), so it will be very interesting indeed to hear what the band can do to top that.

Vader kick ass. Welcome to the Morbid Reich kicked ass.

This album will, most definitely, kick ass.

Great news! They're one of my long standing favorite bands and they've have been pretty consistent with their career keeping aside some of the mid-00s stuff they released. 2014 is already looking exciting to me.

Great news. And I agree, Welcome to the Morbid Reich really is their best album. Definitely in my death metal top ten.

That's what I like about Vader; they're devoted to their style and fans. Their "nothing but metal" stance would be kinda corny if they weren't so good, but their sound is a megalith of fuckin amazing riffs and true metal songwriting. Looking forward to it.

Great news! They're one of the most consistent bands in death metal, and they've been adding one album after the other to the classic albums' list, including their latest one.

I'm fucking psyched for this. Welcome to the Morbid Reich was way better than what I'd expect from ANY death metal band that's been going on this long. They still bring it in spades, and this will likely be no different.

Fucking A, their last album was great. These guys will not disappoint, I am sure. I will buy the shit out of this one too.

On that note, been a while since I spun Morbid Reich, so I'll spin it right now!

"Straight to Hell" was the working title, huh? Good. This one according to a 5-second translation means "You and Fire", which is fine. edit: durr OP durr.

Just stoked that it's new Vader.

Hell yes bring on the neck-breakery! Saw them in Raleigh a few months ago for the third time and they ruled. Gotta respect Vader's dedication.

Vader brings the heat, we should all know that by now. Fuck, I'm probably one of the few that enjoyed Necropolis as one of their best in a while until Welcome.... trounced it, unless someone else wants to speak up. Persistent consistency. They play what their fans want and what they love, something to be commended for. Interested in hearing what the new kid on drums brings to the table. The only band he worked with previously I'm familiar with is Embryonic Depravity, but Piotr wouldn't have him onboard unless he new he was good to hook, so we'll see. Regardless one way or the other, it's goddamn fucking Vader!

I literally LOL'd at the Morbid Angel reference. First Belphegor, then Vader. Maybe Dark Funeral soon after? Consider theyll be doing the 20th anniversary show in may.

Fucking yes I'll buy this, without listening to samples too. I know it will rule. Or not, and then I'll get mad and hate Vader. But yeah, my money's on it ruling. And much harder than anything Behemoth will ever put out in the future too.

Love the artwork, even though it's just for the single. It's simple, to the point, no bullshit and it's definitely catchy.

Peter and a buncha guys that have been in the band for 3+ years. I'd say considering how it still sounds very Vader-y that Pete is definitely the main creative force behind the band.

Yeah, Piotr is Vader, period.

Pretty good artwork for the single, if a tad cliché. Reminds me of Don't Break the Oath a bit. Hope the album's cover is even better.

Kind of dumb that they gave that it's own title, when technically it's a single, but really hyped for it. Everytime I hear a new Vader album, I think it's what a Deicide album should have been.

Despite being a bit dissapointed in Vader when I finally got to see them live last year I'll get this. Morbid Reich was a strong album and they pretty much always deliver a rock solid dose of death metal. Litany and Black to the Blind are my favs but other than The Beast all the albums I've got by them are strong.

Surprised to read how many people are digging the cover art for the single. Personally I think it's laughably bad and generic as fuck. Never was the biggest Vader fan but I'll probably give the new album a listen at the very least.

yeah, that's a weird thing to say - i always thought of vader as having a much clearer identity than most death metal bands (more so than many i prefer)

There isn't really anything else that sounds much like Vader. The more traditional songwriting mixed with Peter's distinctive vocal grunting/barking makes for a real fun, unique DM sound.
